Today I am celebrating five years on the platform. A period of time that can be considered short, but that can change one's life and one's perception of it. These have been five years of experiences and crucial moments that have been determining the position I am in today.

Today I would like to take a brief look at some moments that have been decisive, in some way, although it is possible that at this moment I am overlooking some of them.

Estoy cumpliendo hoy cinco años en la plataforma. Un período de tiempo que se puede considerar corto, pero que puede cambiarle a uno la vida y la percepción que uno tiene de ella. Estos han sido cinco años de vivencias y de momentos cruciales que han ido determinando la posición en la que estoy hoy.

Hoy quiero hacer un breve recorrido por algunos momentos que han sido determinante, de alguna manera, aunque es posible que en estos momentos esté pasando alguno por alto.

### January 19, 2018

After dragging my feet, I finally decided to publish a post, with a text I had written for another website and that had not had much diffusion. The first visit I had was from a bot (@cheetah), which kindly told me that this text was already published elsewhere (and pointed me where it was), but nevertheless announced that it had still upvoted my post to support me. First lesson learned, only publish unpublished content!

This was the beginning of this journey.

### August 2018

The @la-colmena project was born out of a series of family discussions and finally came to life in May, but at that time I was not involved and the reins were taken over by my nephew @vadimlasca. However, he was in charge for a couple of months and in mid-August he told me clearly that he could not continue and that the only person who understood and could take the project forward was me.

I finally took on the challenge and a whole process of organization and restructuring began, something that was decisive in my perception and commitment to the platform, which at that time was still Steem.

### January 21, 2019

The growing commitment to the Spanish-speaking community lead me to the need to start creating educational content regarding the use of the platform and content creation. That day I published my first post about [ How to make a good "post"? What should it contain?](https://peakd.com/cervantes/@ylich/comohacerunbuenpostquedebecontener-lycxk4ak9u) and a month later I start making vlogs about it, being the first one [The vote How does it work and what should I vote for?](https://peakd.com/dtube/@ylich/ugjwrbbt).

### June 16, 2019

Apart from those new educational posts, almost all my content was about music, performances, critiques, reviews, history, research. But this day I went public with a type of content that I had been doing for many years, but had never presented in public, as it was something "intimate": poetry.

Since I was a child I had begun to write "for myself" and few poems were seen by anyone else, except for one or two gifts I made, some that participated in a contest and one that was included in a compilation of young authors.

That day my inner poetic being publicly blossomed, culminating in the creation of my first digital book of poetry [De la vida, la pasión y de la muerte](https://peakd.com/hive-133872/@ylich/de-la-la-vida-la-pasion-y-de-la-muerte-libro-electronico-para-ti), on June 25, and then with the creation, on September 3, 2020, of the Spanish-language literature community [Literatos](https://peakd.com/c/hive-179291/created).

### 19 de enero 2018

Después de haberle dado largas al asunto, finalmente decidí publicar un post, con un texto que había escrito para otro sitio web y que no había tenido mucha difusión. La primera visita que tuve fue la de un bot (@cheetah), que gentilmente me decía que ese texto ya estaba publicado en otra parte (y me indicaba la dirección), pero, sin embargo, me anunciaba que aun así había votado mi post para apoyarme. ¡Primera lección aprendida, solo se publica contenido inédito!

Este fue el inicio de esta travesía.

### Agosto de 2018

El proyecto @la-colmena nació de una serie de discusiones familiares y finalmente cobró vida en mayo, pero en ese momento yo no participé y las riendas las tomó mi sobrino @vadimlasca. Sin embargo, él estuvo al frente durante un par de meses y a mediados de agosto me dijo claramente que él no podía seguir y que la única persona que entendía y podía sacar adelante el proyecto era yo.

¡Finalmente asumí el reto y empezó todo un proceso de organización y reestructuración, algo que fue determinante en mi percepción y compromiso con la plataforma, que en ese momento aún era Steem.

### 21 de enero 2019

El creciente compromiso con la comunidad hispanohablante me lleva a la necesidad de empezar a crear contenido educativo en cuanto al uso de la plataforma y la creación de contenido. Ese día publiqué mi primer post sobre [ ¿Como hacer un buen “post”? ¿Que debe contener?](https://peakd.com/cervantes/@ylich/comohacerunbuenpostquedebecontener-lycxk4ak9u) y un mes después empiezo a hacer vlogs al respecto, siendo el primero [El voto ¿Cómo funciona y qué debo votar?](https://peakd.com/dtube/@ylich/ugjwrbbt).

### 16 de junio 2019

Apartando esas nuevas publicaciones educativas, casi todo mi contenido era sobre música, interpretaciones, críticas, reseñas, historia, investigación. Pero este día hice público un tipo de contenido que tenía muchos años haciéndolo, pero que nunca lo había presentado en público, pues era algo "íntimo": poesía.

Desde muy niño había empezado a escribir "para mí" y eran pocos los poemas que llegaban a ser vistos por alguien más, excepto uno que otro regalo que hice, unos que participaron en un concurso y uno que fue incluido en una compilación de jóvenes autores.

Ese día floreció públicamente mi ser poético interior, que culminó con la creación de mi primer libro digital de poesía [De la vida, la pasión y de la muerte](https://peakd.com/hive-133872/@ylich/de-la-vida-la-pasion-y-de-la-muerte-libro-electronico-para-ti), el 25  de junio, y luego con la creación, el 3 de septiembre de 2020, de la comunidad de literatura en español [Literatos](https://peakd.com/c/hive-179291/created).

### March 2020

Undoubtedly the most significant event for me was the birth of Hive, after living the #hostiletakeover of Steem, by Justin Sun. 

Seeing the cohesion of the community was a wonderful teaching and generated in me the need to deepen my commitment in this new stage that was beginning.


###### COVID

But also the new situation that arose with the emergence of Covid-19 had an impact in many ways.

At that time the musical contest of the platform was the Sonic Groove Live (SGL), but some of the organizers had fallen ill and with it the whole picture that was created, the contest was paralyzed. Just at the moment the performances were finished because of the pandemic!

At that moment I took the initiative to promote a provisional variant that I called **SGL Solidariy**, because it seemed to me that it was necessary to create a space for music in that delicate moment.

On March 30 I wrote what for me meant the beginning of a new stage, [my presentation for Hive](https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@ylich/my-introduction-to-the-hive-community-my-presentation-to-the-hive-community).


### June 11, 2020

I always say that Hive is a place to explore, get to know each other and develop new skills. That day I published the post [Makeing a dream come true](https://peakd.com/hive-133872/@ylich/convertir-un-sueno-en-realidad), in which I made public another passion that I had since I was a child, but had not been able to develop, my love for the trombone and the desire to learn to play it. That started a number of posts where I appear playing that instrument.

For the moment, I had to put it aside, but I know that very soon I will take it up again.

### Marzo 2020

Sin duda el evento más significativo para mí, fue el nacimiento de Hive, luego de vivir el #hostiletakeover de Steem, por parte de Justin Sun. 

Ver la cohesión de la comunidad fue una enseñanza maravillosa y me generó la necesidad de profundizar mi compromiso en esta nueva etapa que daba inicio.


###### COVID

Pero también la situación nueva que se planteaba con la aparición del Covid-19, tuvo un impacto en muchos aspectos.

En ese momento el concurso musical de la plataforma era el Sonic Groove Live (SGL), pero algunos de los organizadores, habían enfermado y con él todo el cuadro que se creó, el concurso se paralizó. ¡Justo en el momento que se acabaron las presentaciones por la pandemia!

En ese momento tomé la iniciativa de impulsar una variante provisional que llamé **SGL Solidariy**, pues me parecía que era necesario crear un espacio para la música en ese momento tan delicado.

El 30 de marzo escribí lo que para mí significó el inicio de una nueva etapa, [mi presentación para Hive](https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@ylich/my-introduction-to-the-hive-community-mi-presentacion-a-la-comunidad-de-hive).


### 11 de junio 2020

Siempre digo que Hive es un sitio para uno explorar, conocerse y desarrollar nuevas habilidades. Ese día publiqué el post [Convertir un sueño en realidad](https://peakd.com/hive-133872/@ylich/convertir-un-sueno-en-realidad), en el que hice pública otra pasión que yo tenía desde niño, pero que no había podido desarrollar, mi amor por el trombón y el deseo de aprender a tocarlo. Eso dio inicio a una cantidad de publicaciones donde aparezco tocando ese instrumento.

Por el momento, me vi en la necesidad de dejarlo a un lado, pero sé que muy pronto lo retomaré.

### December 14, 2020

Although there have always been musical collaborations on our platform, that day I was proud to present the first and biggest one, in a parranda dedicated to Hive ([La Parranda de Hive](https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@ylich/nzxsolvt)), with the participation of twenty musicians and singers, in an original composition of mine, with arrangements made especially for the participants.

### 2021

This year did not have "a" special event, it was a year of much creativity and literary challenges, it was when I started my series #chronos, to develop the technique of the literary chronicle, so Latin American, so ours, and the series of sonnets of alexandrine verses, recently finished. 

It was also very satisfying to have been able to work with the Hive @keychain team and to have been involved, both in its promotion and in the translation part.

I feel that 2021 also meant the consolidation of the @la-colmena project.

### August 13, 2022

This date had a surprising impact on me, because what should have been a "normal" trip, opened a different perspective of Hive. That day I traveled to [Barquisimeto]((https://peakd.com/hive-189306/@ylich/swlnulwu)) to participate in an art activity convened by @hiversbqto. The great impact was due to the fact that for the first time I had to share in person with other people who were on my same path, in the same work for years and it was a very significant discovery to see the effort that we are collectively adding to Hive.

### November 2nd

In the same spirit of the above, I had the immense fortune to be part of the team that represented Hive in the **Caracas Blockchain Week** and it was, once again, the confirmation that the most important thing in Hive, is its community, its people.

### September 30, 2022

It may seem a mistake the sequence of the last two dates that I indicate here, but it is on purpose, because I consider that all the other experiences (including the later ones), are the ones that led me to make the most important decision so far, as far as I am concerned, in Hive.

That day the witness @la-colmena was activated, a decision that could only be the result of all the experiences I have been living since the first day (5 years ago today).

It is my main motivation at this moment and what I am aiming all my efforts to consolidate @la-colmena as a witness of Hive and make it rise in the ranking of witnesses, for the good of the Venezuelan community, the Spanish-speaking community and the entire platform.

### 14 de diciembre de 2020

Aunque  siempre han existido las colaboraciones musicales en nuestra plataforma, ese día tuve el orgullo de presentar la primera y más grande, en una parranda dedicada a Hive ([La Parranda de Hive](https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@ylich/nzxsolvt)), con la participación de veinte músicos y cantantes, en una composición original mía, con arreglos hechos especialmente para los participantes.

### 2021

Este año no tuvo "un" acontecimiento especial, fue año de mucha creatividad y retos literarios, fue cuando inicié mi serie #chronos, para desarrollar la técnica de la crónica literaria, tan latinoamericana, tan nuestra, y la serie de sonetos de versos alejandrinos, terminada recientemente. 

También fue muy satisfactorio haber podido trabajar con el equipo de Hive @keychain y haberme involucrado, tanto en su promoción, como en la parte de traducción.

Siento que también 2021 significó el afianzamiento del proyecto @la-colmena.

### 13 de agosto 2022

Esta fecha tuvo para mí un impacto sorprendente, pues lo que debía ser un viaje "normal", me abrió una perspectiva diferente de Hive. Ese día viajé a [Barquisimeto]((https://peakd.com/hive-189306/@ylich/swlnulwu)) para participar en una actividad de arte convocada por @hiversbqto. El  impacto tan grande se debió a que por primera vez me tocaba compartir en persona con otras personas que estaban en mi misma ruta, en la misma labor desde hace años y  fue un descubrimiento muy significativo ver el esfuerzo que colectivamente le vamos sumando a Hive.

### 2 de Noviembre

En el mismo espíritu de lo anterior, tuve la inmensa fortuna de formar parte del equipo que representó a Hive en la **Caracas Blockchain Week** y fue, una vez más, la confirmación de que lo más importante en Hive, es su comunidad, su gente.

### 30 de septiembre 2022

Pareciera un error la secuencia de las dos últimas fechas que indico acá, pero es a propósito, pues considero que todas las demás vivencias (incluyendo las posteriores), son las que me llevaron a tomar la decisión más trascendental hasta ahora, en lo que a mí respecta, en Hive.

Ese día se activó el testigo @la-colmena, una decisión que solo podía ser fruto de todas las experiencias que he venido viviendo desde el primer día (hoy hace 5 años).

Es mi p'principal motivación en este momento y a lo que estoy apuntando todos mis esfuerzos, a consolidar a @la-colmena como testigo de Hive y hacerla ascender en el ranking de testigos, para el bien de la comunidad venezolana, la hispanohablante y a de toda la plataforma.
