The theme of "New Day" lent itself to many very deep interpretations and to talk about hopes and that kind of paradigms. That is what I would have wanted to reflect, but the mind sometimes seems to wander on its own and since the day I saw the theme, I have had this theme running through my head and every now and then I remembered the opening phrase "A new day is here...". So much so, that I couldn't get it out of my head and finally decided that the best thing to do was to please my subconscious.

This song comes very well at the moment, because in Venezuela the Christmas repertoire of gaitas and parrandas has already begun to sound, and this is one of the songs that make up the repertoire of many gaita groups. 

Although it is part of the Venezuelan Christmas repertoire, it is a Colombian song by composer Leandro Díaz, the same composer of other great Colombian hits such as "Matilde Lina". The version popularized in Venezuela was initially by the group Maracaibo 15, who released it in 1979. 

So to get into the Christmas mood, this is my entry for the Hive Open Mic, week 80.

El tema de "Nuevo Día" se prestaba para mucha interpretaciones muy profundas y para hablar sobre las esperanzas y ese tipo de paradigmas. Eso es lo que yo hubiera querido reflejar, pero la mente a veces pareciera que anda por su cuenta y desde el día que vi el tema, he tenido este tema rondando mi cabeza y a cada rato recordaba la frase inicial "Ya llego un nuevo dia...". Tanto así, que no pude sacármela de la cabeza y finalmente decidí que lo mejor era complacer a mi subconsciente.

Esta canción viene muy bien al momento, pues en Venezuela ya empezó a sonar el repertorio navideño de gaitas y parrandas, y esta es una de la canciones que componen el repertorio de muchísimos grupos de gaita. 

A pesar de formar parte del repertorio navideño venezolano, se trata de una canción colombiana del compositor Leandro Díaz, el mismo de otros grandes éxitos colombiano como "Matilde Lina". La versión popularizada en Venezuela inicialmente se debió al grupo Maracaibo 15, quien la lanzó al mercado en 1979. 

Así que para ir entrando en el ambiente de la navidad, es esta mi participación para el Hive Open Mic, semana 80.
