In the latter genre, the group's hits were infinite. By the hand of composer Orlando Brito and in the voice of Bienvenido Granda, the orchestra recorded this beautiful, short but forceful bolero called "Angustia" (Anguish), which in a very brief lyric achieves a tremendous impact. Because of this and the wonderful melody, plus the extraordinary interpretation, this song became a classic of tropical music and has been covered on many other occasions. This version accompanied by the cuatro is my participation in the Hive Open Mic, week 110. I had thought about the possibility of doing a solo (interlude) with an instrument, but while I was thinking about the idea, it occurred to me to try this jazz-style vocal improvisation and I liked the idea. I hope you do too! <center></center> Uno de los íconos más importantes de la música cubana y latina en general, de mediados del siglo pasado, fue la Sonora Matancera, que por igual imponían sus temas alegres, como los boleros. En este último género fueron infinitos los éxitos de la agrupación. De la mano del compositor Orlando Brito y en la voz de Bienvenido Granda, la orquesta grabó este hermoso, corto pero contundente bolero llamado "Angustia", que en una letra muy breve logra un impacto tremendo. Por eso y por la maravillosa melodía, más la extraordinaria interpretación, esta canción se convirtió en un clásico de la música tropical y ha sido versionado en muchas otras ocasiones. Esta versión acompañanada con el cuatro es mi participación para el Hive Open Mic, semana 110.
