Ya que se acerca el mes de diciembre y por lo general siempre viajo a Cumaná estos días para celebrar las festividades con mi familia, desde temprano he querido compartir momentos con mis amigos antes de irme. En esta oportunidad me reuní con mi amigo José que aparte de un gran amigo, es muy buen cocinero. Así que nos pusimos de acuerdo para compartir una rica comida el día sábado, él se encargaría del almuerzo y yo del postre. En lugar de salir por allí, decidimos hacer una comida en su casa, el vive solo porque sus hijos ya están grandes y estan en otro país y bueno el se siente mas cómodo cocinando con sus utensilios y sus cosas. Así que el día sábado me arreglé y salí temprano a su casa, el vive relativamente cerca, así que fue un trayecto relajado ya que llevaba varios utensilios para preparar una torta y también llevaba a mi perrita Mily, la cual como podrán ver en la siguiente foto le cae muy bien José y se adapta rápidamente.😅 </div> Hello friends of Hive, first of all I want to wish you all an excellent week. Since the month of December is approaching and I usually always travel to Cumana these days to celebrate the holidays with my family, since early in the morning I wanted to share moments with my friends before leaving. This time I met up with my friend José, who besides being a great friend, is a very good cook. So we agreed to share a delicious meal on Saturday, he would be in charge of lunch and I would be in charge of dessert. Instead of going out there, We decided to have a meal at his house, he lives alone because his children are grown up and are in another country and he feels more comfortable cooking with his utensils and things. So on Saturday I got dressed up and went out early to his house, he lives relatively close, so it was a relaxed journey since I had several utensils to prepare a cake and I also took my dog Mily, which as you can see in the next picture José likes her very much and she adapts quickly.😅  <div class="pull-left"> A José le gusta sorprender con sus preparaciones y esta vez no fue la excepción, preparó pollo cortado en churrascos a la plancha, esto es el muslo de pollo deshuesado.</div> José likes to surprise with his preparations and this time was no exception, he prepared chicken cut into churrascos a la plancha, this is the boneless chicken thigh.  <div class="pull-left"> Esto lo acompañó con unas papas colombianas, que son las pequeñitas y una rica ensalada de vegetales.</div> This was accompanied by Colombian potatoes, which are the small ones, and a delicious vegetable salad.  <div class="pull-left"> No es porque sea mi amigo, pero José tiene muy buena sazón, le gusta colocarle mucho ajo a todo y la verdad es que el ajo es muy rico en todas las comidas. No vayan a pensar que yo solo tomaba fotos 😅, también estaba haciendo mi parte batiendo una torta, que al inicio iba a ser marmoleada, pero el horno de José no colaboró a que así fuera. </div> It's not because he's my friend, but José has a very good seasoning, he likes to add a lot of garlic to everything and the truth is that garlic is very tasty in all foods. Don't think that I was just taking pictures 😅, I was also doing my part beating a cake, which at the beginning was going to be marbled, but José's oven didn't help.  <div class="pull-left"> Me gusta mucho hacer postres de vez en cuando, y modestia a parte me quedan muy bien, no puedo decir lo mismo de la torta que hice hoy, ya que la cocina no me ayudó.</div> I like to make desserts from time to time, and modesty aside, they are very good, but I can't say the same about the cake I made today, since the kitchen didn't help me.  <div class="pull-left"> Así quedó mi preparación antes de que entrara al horno, era un bizcocho muy sencillo de vainilla y chocolate.</div> This is what my preparation looked like before it went into the oven, it was a very simple vanilla and chocolate sponge cake.  <div class="pull-left"> Mientras cada uno estaba inspirado realizando sus respectivas preparaciones, escuchabamos la radio sorprendiéndonos con cada canción que sonaba en la estación. Finalmente después de batir así fue como entró al horno. Pueden apreciar las mezclas del chocolate y la vainilla.</div> While each of us was inspired to make our respective preparations, we listened to the radio, surprising ourselves with every song that came on the station. Finally, after whisking, this is how it went into the oven. You can appreciate the chocolate and vanilla mixtures.  <div class="pull-left"> Una vez que la torta estaba en el horno y ya mi amigo había terminado de preparar el almuerzo nos dispusimos a disfrutar del mismo.</div> Once the cake was in the oven and my friend had finished preparing the lunch, we enjoyed it.  <div class="pull-left"> Y bueno como una imagen vale mas que mil palabras, aqui les dejo una foto del plato ya servido, así como se ve de sabroso así estaba, me lo disfruté mucho.</div> And well, as a picture is worth a thousand words, here is a picture of the dish already served, as tasty as it looks, I enjoyed it very much.  <div class="pull-left"> Después de terminar de almorzar, nos dispusimos a dejar la cocina limpia mientras la torta se cocinaba, cual fue mi sorpresa al sacarla del horno.</div> After finishing lunch, we set out to leave the kitchen clean while the cake was baking, which was my surprise when we took it out of the oven.  <div class="pull-left"> Para mi sorpresa la torta marmoleada ahora era de chocolate totalmente, supongo que se debió a la falla que tenia el horno, pero bueno igual la dejamos enfriar para acompañarla con un rico café, al cortarla y degustarla nos dimos cuenta que quedó igual de sabrosa.</div> To my surprise the marbled cake was now totally chocolate, I guess it was due to the failure of the oven, but we let it cool to accompany it with a delicious coffee, when we cut it and tasted it we realized that it was just as tasty.  <div class="pull-left"> Al final del día todo salió de acuerdo a lo planificado, pasamos un día tranquilo y muy agradable disfrutando de buena comida y una conversación amena.</div> At the end of the day everything went according to plan, we spent a quiet and very pleasant day enjoying good food and pleasant conversation.
