Hey folks, welcome welcome to the first post of my kind of finished 1 gram bar.
This is the start of my attempt to make my own silver bullion!

Cutting and preparing silver isn't the easiest, just finding this out the hard way. But it is a great learning experience for sure.

The S is my first successful stamping effort, after wasting over ยฃ20 of silver before this success ๐Ÿ˜…

On the reverse of this little bar is a stamp imprint that says .999
This is in regard to the piece being a fine silver bar. It is nearly microscopic to see, even with my phone camera on max zoom ๐Ÿ™ƒ

This is the nearly finished piece. I used enamel ink on the front to fill in the S. This makes it stand out really well. It looks a lot better in person, my camera doesn't do it justice, sadly.

The enamel didn't take to the reverse of the bar well. I managed to rub it all off basically ๐Ÿ˜‚
Good ol' school boy error, by yours truly.
I have some silver polish ready, and I am waiting to finish this piece. I am just waiting on a rotary tool to arrive so that I can polish this piece up. I'm hoping that it comes out nice and shiny.

I'll bring a new update when I manage to hopefully finish this piece.
If it comes out well, I will be moving on to bigger and better pieces.
