River valley The territory adjacent directly to the river is the last large area of cedar-deciduous forests of the Primorsky Territory that has not yet been touched by felling. This is 1.3 million hectares of taiga, where today about 30–35 Amur tigers live. Here is the place of compact residence of indigenous peoples, Udege and Nanai - the village of Krasny Yar. In 2010, the valley of the Bikin River was included in the provisional UNESCO List of Natural World Heritage Sites.
