I made a commitment about 6 weeks ago to start blogging away my debts... I also wanted to build back some HBD savings.

I have not really made much progress with either. I intended to blog more, but real life work projects with long hours got in the way of doing that.

That being said, there are some changes in regard to the debts that I owe and it goes towards the positive, the debts are coming down but the progress is, at best - glacial!

Here are the figures

My total was: R77,897.95

Loan 1: R38,671.55 (was R38,893.25) -R221.70
Loan 2: R10,562.93 (was R10,371.70) +R191.23
Bill 1: R28,400 (was R28,633.60) -R233.60
This one stayed the same.

The new total is: R77,634.48 (- R263.47)

So my total debts went down under R300. Not really much but it is going in the right direction. I will need to pay my bills of September/October and then decide how to best allocate left over funds.

With silly season approaching, I have a whole host of other bills coming up:

New school uniforms.
New stationary for the new year.
More school fees.
Not to mention that Christmas is coming as well.

With my HBD savings, I managed to hold on to $15 HBD and it made around $0.23 in interest. I had not had it there for the full 30 days so next that will be $0.25.

I then added $5 HBD to the savings. I had intended to save $20 a month but I will forego this and just keep the $20.23 in savings till end of October and then push more HBD into the debts until I can get them under control.

So let me get cracking and do some work. Maybe I can bring the whole thing to R75k by the end of the year? lol

Glacial... I don't know if I should laugh or cry...
