 There's been a lot of buzz within the cryptocurrency world lately with bitcoin reaching new highs last year, same with multiple altcoins (e.g. Ethereum, Ripple, and Doge). I've been talking with my classmates and some we're interested in delving into the whole ecosystem, albeit without knowledge what to do. So I've compiled a list of some existing and upcoming cryptocurrencies that I'm stoked to see help the newbies earn capital with just doing what they love.   ## Crycash ($CRC) I first discovered this coin from a gaming news channel and started researching about it. What I found is a coin that makes a gamer's first exposure to cryptocurrency way too easy. It's a coin that's partnered with Crytek, a reputable company responsible for multiple innovations in game graphics leagues ahead of their competitors. Cryengine was their own game engine which was used in Crysis, Far Cry, Evolve and most especially Warface. As of now Warface is one of the only games that will support CRC upon release in February (I’m not sure about Ryse, but it's there). And based on their roadmap, they plan to have 10 or more games running their API in Q1 2019 with 10 million gamers using it. > As of writing this, their ICO is still running. If you see potential in this coin, might as well check it out [here](https://crycash.io/).   ## Musicoin ($MUSIC) You must've atleast heard of SoundCloud and how it works, but did you know that there’s another great platform more superior than that? Musicoin is a content sharing platform where instead of having to only upload music, artists get REAL payouts each time someone listens to their music (Pay-per-Play). The more popular a given song is, the more credits the song's artist will receive. Since the artist's content is protected with Smart Contract Copyrights, they get every cent they earn with no intermediaries. As for the listeners out there, monthly subscriptions are non-existent. So you'll have all the time in the world to curate good music and giving artists a reason to make more good music by tipping them some $MUSIC all the while having a great time listening. > So music, much wow. Check it out [here](https://musicoin.org/).   ## Steemit ($STEEM, $SBD) If you're reading this now, you're already using the platform (4th wall broken lol). And if you're curious why it's a great way to earn money? Because the only investment you need is your ability to write, and make great videos or other things that other people are interested in. Generally it's Tumblr but you earn with like the upvotes you've garnered (same with musicoin, depends on how strong their steempower is). It already has a strong community that's harsh on plagiarism and promotes originality. In addition to blogging, there are other sites that use the steem blockchain to reward authors and content creators with doing what they love. D.tube is an example, a video sharing platform where censorship is not a thing. Content creators are free to express their thoughts without worries of an adpocalype. Malicious content is not promoted and will be heavily downvoted by the community. Another one is Dlive.io, it's like Twitch without the pesky quotas and payout fees. Plus working with Twitch early on doesn't seem to be a good idea since their requirement to be eligible to get payouts are as follows; > “As a prerequisite the streamer must have an average concurrent viewership of 500+ people and broadcast at least three times per week… A random sample showed that only 34 out of the 900+ League of Legends broadcasts pulled over 500 concurrent viewers. Out of those 34, only half were seeing over 1,000 concurrent viewers…” -Jesse Aaron, Huffpost.com Whereas at Dlive.io you can start earning already, no worries of quotas, you're time is as flexible as you are. Although your first streams might not earn you significant money, but with commitment, you can go a long way streaming what you love.  > I'm NOT affiliated with any of these projects. I’ll try to research more coins and make more posts like this (hence the no. in the title) for those normies who wants to learn how earn while testing the waters on cryptocurrencies. TLDR: Crycash for gamedevs and gamers, Musicoin for musicians, Steemit for content creators. Each RESTEEM, UPVOTE, and FOLLOW gives me more reasons to continue this.
