It was our first Microbiology practical experiment since the beginning of the semester. On the first day of our class in the laboratory, we were drilled on the experiment to be done, the equipment to be used in the experiment, stating the function and uses of that equipment, and the precautions when using this equipment or devices. Among these devices were; **Autocave, inoculating needle, spatula, pipette, conical flash, test tube, petri dish, wire lobe, incubator, oven, etc.**
So on Wednesday, we carried out our first practical on **bacteria** using **nutrient agar** as our solidifying material. We were split into groups of fifteen (15), with each person working together in their respective groups.
We were provided with all the equipment we needed for the practical, while the media was set in place.

After a brief session with the lecturer and laboratory technician, we kick-started our experiment. We first carried out the water dilution before circulating the bacteria agar into the seven (7) test tubes we were given.
After which we waited for the nutrient agar to be put into our media and allowed it to solidify.
This was done in three different methods;
* **Spread Method**
* **Pour Method**
* **Streak Plate Method**
After experimenting with it, we were asked to come back the next day to check our work if the bacteria could be identified and all.
It was a successful practical experiment on going back yesterday to check our work.
Though it was fun but also stressful staying in the lab for quite a long hour.
*Those aren't happy faces **after** the practical experiment but **before** the practical experiment had started...lol ;)*
