As a single lady, have you ever looked at someone's child or baby graciously with so much love and affection? It seems to be one of the things ladies naturally do. A woman expresses love for babies or children more than the male counterpart does, and often I ask myself why that is so. Though many will give me one and a million reasons why it is that way.
Well, today I wouldn't ask for those reasons, rather I will love to know if there has ever been a time or times when a single lady looks at a fellow woman's baby and wishes they were their own or looks at them with love, praying and hoping that in the future when they bring forth their seeds that they will be as beautiful and lovely as the ones they have seen or met so far.

As a person, I have had this kind of thought many times and almost every time I run into a cute and adorable-looking sweet child. It gives me bubbles and gardens my heart.
Sometimes we question the gene of a child when they come out looking way too beautiful or cuter than their parents. And sometimes we naively assume that the cuteness or fineness of a child can only be determined by the genes or traits of the parents. Well, though this is also true in a way, sometimes it's not a 100% guarantee that your baby or child will come out looking like you.
We have seen this a couple of times, I have seen this before and many times. There are parents we assume aren't as fine or beautiful to our taste yet their children take up the looks that leave people amazed and questioning their DNA and sometimes the reverse is the case.
Ladies have this weakness of trying to determine the cuteness of their child based on their spouse's looks or even their looks. And so when they see adorable children, they are easily drawn to them and silently pray their children will be adorable too.

For a few weeks now, my neighbor, one of my dad's tenants put to birth, and although their heart desire was to have a baby girl since they are already blessed with two male children. And every woman's dream is to have her replica. They love their baby boy but, they also love a baby girl and crave them as much too. So everyone could tell that the family also wanted a baby girl and they must have earnestly prayed for a girl this time around but God being God blessed them with another baby boy still.
From the mother's voice, you could tell that she eagerly wanted a girl but we still thank God for the safe delivery and the new life. The newborn turned out to be quite different from the other two brothers, different in terms of his complexion and looks too.
Here we believe that a child takes up the complexion of either the father, mother, or even close relatives. And this child was born with a light complexion, and neither the father nor mother are light in complexion. Both are dark and the first two boys are dark too, and only the newborn baby took up a light complexion, although some thinks he might get dark with time, I don't know about that, I only know that the little boy is cute just the way he is.
Sometimes my kid brother babysits the little brothers when the mom steps out or is a little busy or occupied. And sometimes my mom takes care of the newborn baby as well. I have the chance of staring at this beautiful soul each time my mom carries him or looks after him for a short moment before his mother comes to take over.
Look at this beautiful soul, I pray he grows up to be a bright child just like his brothers and that he makes the parents proud.
Babies are just too adorable and you can't look at them and not be moved by compassion and love for them.
I love babies, and cute ones at that lol.
