People ask "What do you do?" Well....from the system's perspective I am a "gardener" and "Inn Keeper" at The Lavender Inn in Ojai, California. That is what it says under my US citizenship Social Security number paycheck. People also ask me "why don't you have land in Ojai and your own farm?" The answer is the ventura county systems have to change. So that is what we are transforming and we will one day. One seed at a time๐ฑ.๐ฑ People also ask me "why don't you and your kids just move?" The answer is the ventura family court system. I submitted 173 pages to the supreme court quoting the Dalai Lama and our "We the People" Declaration of Independence in October 2016. I emailed the UN, EU, White House, New York times and Washington Post. The systems are broken so we are creating new ones that make these old ones obsolete. We continue to make big moves and transform locally and globally with every meditational breath. We never give up. Ultimately we are obviously here in Ojai for a reason amd we trust the universal flow to show us the way while we shine our light. How do you create global change? Be the change, grass roots, person to person. I leave little messages to educate guests in the morning and awaken the compassion and love๐ค I create beautiful cheese plates in the evening for guests with herbs and lemons that I planted in our gardens๐ I am not the owner of the Inn so I work with what we have with a goal to create the new earth eden. When the guests ask me about the food I educate them on organic permaculture and how we need to change our value systems and plant organic food forests. Saturday a guest brought in his plate and asked me what to do with it. I replied "just make yourself at homeโบ" His response "at home I wash my own plate" I replied "that is my next restaurant idea we all get together, cook, eat and wash our dishes...one global potlock"โบ To my surprise he responded "Great! I can't wait!" ๐ You see the people are ready for global community and change! The scales have tipped๐ซ "We the people of planet earth"๐๐๐ My kitchen door stays open for those who wander in and are curious.... A guest yesterday morning from Los Angeles asked me what the hearts were on the butter, I let him have a go at guessing๐ When he gave up I told him it was wild sour grass from our garden and that he could put it in his salads...he awakened remembering that he sees this plant growing where he lives๐ Free wild harvesting classes, your welcome.๐ Baby steps. Personally I only invest the money I make from my job into organic local foods because that is what I want to see more of in the future. At work, I must be patient. Do I want us to be able to have fresh organic eggs from our local chickens, raw cream for organic local cows and homemade organic bread? Yes! I continue to wait patiently. Perfecting my Cinnamon Challa Custard French Toast recipe and visioning this transformation๐ I continue to celebrate, reflecting on the wins of the week with gratitude. I was inspired to find organic quinoa, organic sweet potatoes, organic red onion, organic apples and hormone free butter (I add organic coconut oil to the grocery list for next week, we have a budget so I make the best choices available for the week) It is a fine balance, as we need to cook food that the guests enjoy, the owner is happy with and our manager can keep within the budget allocated. Tanya shows up every Sunday morning at 8:30am with a shining bright smile and we discuss the positive changes we want to see manifest at The Lavender Inn and around the world. We troubleshoot the week with solutions and blast Bob Marley in the kitchen while we finish breakfast. She is pure magic. ๐ Yesterday she came in "we started from the bottom now we're here" singing Drake and laughing๐ถ She feels the energy frequencies and just knows. We laugh and dance around the kitchen๐ Genoveva shows up with weekend vibes and we all just laugh and goof around while we get breakfast finished. I add some fresh thyme from the herb garden and we place everything on the buffet table. AND by everything I mean, yogurt, organic granola, fruit salad, sunflower seed rolls, OJ, Apple juice, coffee, tea cake, quinoa and custard french toast...we have the best breakfast in town....soon to be ๐ฏ% organic locally sourced๐๐ Our wins for the week: *Threw out Raid, replaced with diatomaceous earth *Threw out Cascade replaced with Eco Dish soap and vinegar *Replaced many cleaning products with vinegar *Recieved a $20 budget from Beth to purchase locally grown organic fruit *Making Organic smoothies next Sunday instead of supporting the fake "homemade" tamale truck *Got the green light to source Dr. Bronners soap for the Inn ๐ โThe World Will Be Saved By the Western Womanโ Dalai Lama https://youtu.be/20MnLcOL7Ks Just call me the Dalai Momma!๐ Next week we are makin organic homemade smoothies, winning!!!!๐ Lets ALL PLAY with Infinite Love, :Z:Lotus: & The Cosmic Kids Your mind is like a beautiful organic permaculture food forest garden....grow your mind
