A few weeks ago I came here to share my survival story when I had a bike accident that suffered a head injury which is three days before I was issued a certificate. I sustained the head injury as I was heading back from the final authorization that will qualify me to get the certificate, the driver leads towards our direction with speed the biker directs the bike to the bush I jump and hit my head on the road board.. I suffered an injury badly, but that doesn't stop me from going down the third day to collect the certificate things I've been waiting for so long.

However, I thank God for witnessing the day and I was not a victim of the fallen hero, although I go there with a broken head that gives me no concern than being alive. The ceremony took place in Cross River Calabar capital, where I see some old friends we camp together at the beginning of the program, but I couldn't get the chance to see them again after each one has been sent to different local governments before now.

#### **Picnic of the journey and the service year**

Less than five days I planned to go back to my state. I have been staying here for over 11 month and some days for youth service program, the program of one year after you graduated from higher institution, therefore posted from Southwest of Nigeria to Southeast "Cross River" around August last year 2021. I thought it was an easy journey until I get to the road with bus, from Lagos to Cross river took me 20 hours with lot of stress and stopover. It even happen to had stopover and sleep due to danger at night in Nigerians road. I thank God I arrive safety then and the joining to live in a strange land began.

A lot happen during the service year but with the help of Hive blockchain I survived it all. I face a lot of financial problem due to rise in economy situation, things are too expensive over here, out of the government allowance of $70 from government I have to send $20 home to my siblings I think that's a little I can afford to support my mother. The rest $50 don't worth anything to buy thing at market, plus or minus I always spent $30 in the market for stuff them left with $20 to take care of myself for the rest of the month, no savings sometime I won't have anything to spend again when my money exhausted before the next coming allowance but Hive blockchain bridge that gap for me and provide another source of generating income that sustained me through my service years.

However, it get to stage where I discovered the village I'm staying don't have source of drinking water people are exposed to dirty water I have to tender it down here on blockchain maybe there is a way to help and I have a fully support from everyone here, we're more than a family, and I will use this part of my post here to appreciate @guiltyparties for his great support, like wise @quochy for his donation on the second well repaired.

The water is really serving them without getting any fault since then. Thanks once again for those that laid there hand on the project either by upvote, reblog and comment I say big thanks to you.

#### **Time to say goodbye**

However, every single day I wake up and remember my days are numbered here in Cross River I always feel sad, not feeling sad because I want to leave but because I'm afraid and don't know how to go back with the way things are hard on the road.

Many thing have been happening recently in Nigeria which makes the country not safer for anyone, the rate of kidnapped and killing have been arose this year, things are hard and peoples are dying illegally. Many are fear to leave there door step to next neighborhood. Apart from disasters along the road like road accident, Nigerian road are not more safe.
People are been kidnapped in a broad day light and government don't see anything to do about security instead they're are fighting for who will be the next president. The one that even touch my heart is the killing that happen some weeks back when some unknown gunmen invade worshipper in church on Sunday and killed every worshipper, despite that our government organized dinner party on that same day. This is really a sign of Nigeria fundamental is sequano no one care for anyone.
Lot of kidnapping going on the highway, people are dying in hands of herdsmen. I even remember some month back a friend of mine that want to travel on train just added a day to his staying if not he will also be a victim of train attacked by unknown group of terrorist. Unknown has become general name for them when they come online to give a speech.

I already planned to take my move on coming next Thursday I want everyone to wish me a safe trip back to my state, although I wish to travel through the flight but I don't have the power to finance myself therefore with the little amount of money I gathered can only go through the road, I believe God will grant me a safe trip...

Thanks you all for your great support and love towards my staying here. Greetings from @adedayoolumide
