Greetings!

Welcome to the continuation of my weeding season. In my count, this will the be 8th time that I weed out my vegetable garden which I began last March 29, 2022. And just like that previous weeding out that I did this is equally as hard. After this weeding out, I think I am still going to weed out my vegetable garden four times to finish my weeding season.

I actually did not weed out this section of my vegetable garden last year because it is covered by my water spinach. If you zoom at the upper portion of the photo below some water spinach can be visibly seen. Before this weeding out I am reluctant if I am going to weed out this section because I do not want to waste those water spinach.

But I just realized that water spinach is a very persistent plant, it can grow again once the rainy season comes even if you entirely cut off all the stems you see above the ground. Water spinach is very generous in rooting its roots and will come alive once the rainy season comes.

At first, I thought that this weeding out will be one of the easiest but it is actually equally as hard as the previous ones. The first half of this weeding out is harder because there are lots of weeds than water spinach the other half is mostly dominated by water spinach which is quite very easy to remove using a shovel.

And finally, the finale, sweeping the excess weeds. Just like all my weeding out chores I always end up every weeding chores by sweeping the excess weeds.  But do you notice that there are still green things left on the left side of the photo below? They are actually water spinach that I decided to leave as insurance in case the roots of the water spinach that I removed do not grow again once the rainy season comes (next month).

After more than an hour of weeding here's how it looks now, it is better now than in its previous state.
