Title: I’ve seen the devil’s eyes.(song written by me)

The allure of the life you desire.  It has a bearing on our life choices and actions, and has the power to make or break a person.

With this song, I reflect upon a time when I sort to change my apparent fate and imprint my desired destiny onto my timeline. 

The things I’ve seen in my 26 years only leave me with more questions than I had when I was 4 and it’s fine because I could never have been more prepared for this journey called my life.

I’ve always been the shy type, afraid to be visible since being invisible felt like home to me(I’d have to tell this story with another song some day). But that’s the thing about home; those four walls could someday feel like a ***cage*** withholding you from the promise of what’s out there.

There were some moments in time when i wished i could just get away from the norm, you know, feel alive a little. 

As I journeyed towards the unknown, with fear in my heart but an unsatisfied quest for adventure and answers I call out to my maker from within me. “It is with this desperate heart that you gave me I have come this far”.


No, it’s not just a cry for help. Even as I stare at my demons eye ball to eye ball, I know I will overcome because there’s nothing for me where I’m coming from so I chose to see progress and positivity rather than doom and gloom.

One step I took, then another, and many more followed till it was no longer possible to trace the prints to an origin. 

With every cut and bruise I got stronger and more daring, not afraid to bleed a little if need be.

As I venture into the unknown I pray I don’t lose myself.
