DEC is stablecoin in the splinterlands game and the standard value is $1 for 1000 tokens. This is the value expected in the market in a normal scenario but this has not been the case for long. When the SPS airdrop was launched in the year 2021 that time the value of DEC was significant because of increased demand. There was a point system for the airdrop and this token played an important role which is why a lot of people started buying this token which resulted in a significant price rise for the token. Can you believe that its price was $0.1344 in Aug 2021 and the reason was the SPS token airdrop whereas the ideal price should be $0.001 and all this happened because of the SPS airdrop. Even the SPS price was very high at that time as compared to what we have now.

The price value for the dec token started to decline when the airdrop was coming to an end and it was not even in the peg range for many months. Its value was even dropped to $0.60 for 1k dec tokens. This happened because people started selling their tokens and technically there was not much demand in the game because this was also removed from the reward pool that was replaced by SPS. I have always seen that the splinterlands team knows what is the best strategy to bring the value back and they did the same after launching the land. Even the rebellion pack pre-sale did pretty well and it triggered the demand for DEC. We have seen this hovering around $0.70-0.75 for many months and those bought that time must be very happy now.

#### DEC Price back to Peg

Finally, the price of DEC has gone back to its big range which is one dollar for one thousand tokens. The demand for DEC increased significantly after the land 1.5 went live because I think there is not enough DEC available to be utilised in the lands. I have set up one plat for the grain forming and I know that it takes a lot of DEC even in one plot which is why the demand for the token has gone up. It is obvious that when there is demand then the price is going to be going up and a similar impact is here on the market. Here is the price chart for DEC where you can see that the price is now back to its standard value

Here is also the calculator where you can see that the 1000 Dec is worth $1 exactly at this point and this is what the community has been expecting for a long. Finally, the token that is called a stablecoin is back in its range and I hope it will stay here for a long time because it was missing. However, this has taken back the advantage from the people who wanted to buy more rebellion packs because the booster packs can be purchased using Dec and during the pre-sale, there was another advantage for us to buy packs at additional discounts using dec. Now because the price is back to its range that is not a benefit anymore. It's good that I bought over 200 DEC even though the price was low and the same I used for land farming and I'm happy with my decision to buy DEC at the lower price.

#### SPS is Gearing Up

SPS aka Splintershards also seem to be gearing up. A few weeks back this was available at $0.14 and now see the price in the chart that I have shared below. The current price is pretty good compared to what we had a couple of weeks back and this has doubled.

This is the governance coin and I expect that half-dollar SPS is possible in the next Bulldog market which is expected to happen in the next year but again this is not financial advice. I accumulate all the tokens that I earn through different ways and even I have bought quite a good number of tokens from the market. I have paused the buying because I expect to get some correction in the market and that would be the time when I will jump in and buy more. Although I'm not selling anything and all the rewards received are deposited because the holding is helping me get the higher multiplier for the gameplay. Holding SPS is very important for any player because it impacts the reward which means the more tokens you have will you make you eligible to have the higher reward multiplier and I want to achieve it. It goes up to 12X on different leagues and I plan to go with 12X with the diamond one hence I am trying my best to be there as soon as possible.

I am bullish on SPS because of its utility in the game and it is highly undervalued even now when the price has slightly increased. I'm not going to sell anything because it is my long-term investment in the game. One can easily sell the token at a certain price but I don't think buying back will be easy if the same market momentum is followed by the coin. This is why it's very important to think before we sell off the token and this is the reason why my plan is just to build and accumulate more which is going to help my gameplay in the long run.
