**A Better World For All**
For this week's theme I will be playing a song from 1971, which my partner suggested and which I remember from when I was a kid, but as with many English language songs of the time, I never knew the lyrics until now.

My version of [this beautiful tune](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27d_Like_to_Teach_the_World_to_Sing_(In_Perfect_Harmony)) is very much shortened and tuned down, unlike the original with its wonderful harmonies. I haven't had enough time to practice them, but I got another chance at doing some bass walking, which is brilliant! A bit of swing seems to fit that melody quite well.

We keep hearing people saying, that music is a universal language, that connects across borders, so, wouldn't it be wonderful if it did just that? **Connect people by singing in harmony**?

I am normally an optimistic sort of person, and I'd like to stay that way, but somehow do I struggle to see, that we ever come to our senses as a species..  On the other hand does a place like Hive, where people connect far and wide, give me hope, that people will learn from and to respect each other!
