"I don't need you anymore" she said, "I can do without you, now I want my space...I can no longer be seen in public places with you, I can't hug you anymore, I can't kiss you and I can't sleep with you anymore".

Hearing this, all that went through Ted's mind was "Why?...why do you want to leave me? What have I done wrong?" Ted wanted to voice all these questions out to her but he just couldn't find the voice, all Ted could do was cry without any visible tears.



As if she heard the questions, she answered..."My friends always laugh at me anytime you are with me, they think am not matured since you are always with me. They tell me that you look childish and that I ought to grow up and be cool like them...I need to act matured."



Ted was amazed and frustrated, had lots of things to say but was too shocked and felt so betrayed, all that was going through his mind was...."What! You want to abandon me to please your friends? You are now ashamed of me? I have been with you since you were a kid, now you are going to leave me? Where were your friends when I held you those nights you were scared? Where were they when you'd cry and always want me to play with you? Or those time when you feel sad and am the only one that listens to you without interruption and also comforts you. I never left your side even when you were sick."




"How could you do this to me?" All these was running through Ted's mind, he didn't say anything but just looked at her sadly. Ted was known for his silence so he couldn't voice out the disappointment and betrayal he felt, all these years of being there for her...just to be left in the corner.




"I am sorry Ted but you'd have to be on your own from now...I am leaving you for good" she said and left him in a lonely place. Ted however never gave up hope, "this isn't the first time she has left me...am sure she would be back.. I would wait for her", he thought. 



But he knew deep down, that it was different this time...she was not going to come back to him. She is all grown up now and can't take him everywhere she goes anymore....after all he is just a Teddy bear.
