Goldbacks and Silverbacks are beautiful, and those who collect them do so because of their wonderful designs. Because they're so thin, they can be easily bent. They can also be easily scratched because gold and silver are soft metals.

When you buy these, sometimes they come with a protector and sometimes they don't. The last one I bought, the [5 Florida Goldback](https://ecency.com/hive-136819/@bulliontools/5-florida-goldback), didn't come in a sleeve. I don't want it to get ruined, so I looked for currency sleeves to put it in for safe keeping.

I searched on Amazon and found not only the sleeves but a box designed to protect them.

For $6, I figured it's worth the gamble. When I got it, I tried the sleeve out first. They're very thin, so they'll do the job of preventing scratches, but they're not going to prevent it from getting bent, creased, etc. When in the box, however, you don't have to worry about that. The latches on the box are average. I don't expect to be handling it a ton, so I think it'll work just fine for what I want.

Not all "foil notes" are the same, so I do have some that are larger and won't fit.

It's certainly something to consider when purchasing, but don't let that stop you from buying the larger notes. They have some really awesome designs!

If you're looking for a way to protect your Goldbacks and Silverbacks, I'd highly recommend getting currency sleeves and the box for protection!
