Sometimes there are circumstances in life that make you believe that thinking positively is an impossible mission. Our thoughts play a determining role in our decisions, habits, and attitude toward life. The environment can influence our emotions and way of thinking, so if we want a fullness and calm life, thinking positively can be the key.
[Source](https://pxhere.com/es/photo/977514) Edited with Canva
We have heard many times that people with positive thoughts are healthier, more energetic, and more focused on achieving goals. They are people who, although they do not have great material goods, always have a smile on their faces and emanate wonderful energy. I imagine that when you read these lines, you will ask yourself, how can you manage to think positively? Believe me, I also asked myself this question some time ago. I was clear that there was no magic formula to achieve it, so I started to share more with positive-thinking people. I learned some tricks from them.
[Source](https://pixabay.com/es/photos/concha-de-mar-caracola-gigante-6495338/) Edited with Canva
The first thing I learned is to be aware that there are things and circumstances in our environment that we cannot control. Many of these do not depend on us, so we should not give so much importance to those that do not deserve it. Once you understand this, the path to positive thoughts becomes easier. Another thing I learned (I think it is the most important) is to transform negative thoughts into positive ones. How do you do this? Well, it is important to first understand what thoughts are. Our thoughts are a kind of conversation we have with ourselves about our complex inner world (self-esteem, desires, life purpose, beliefs, emotions) and everything around us. Has it ever occurred to you that your thoughts may have phrases of doubt or denial? It sure has! For example, if we aspire to a new job offer, maybe your negative part makes you think what am I going to apply for? "I'll never get chosen". If you have not yet found true love, maybe your negative side leads you to think "I will never find someone who loves me". If you face a difficulty, your thoughts will center on the premise "I can't handle this".
[Source](https://pixabay.com/es/photos/positivo-puede-autodeterminaci%c3%b3n-2470506/)
Do you observe a repeating pattern in these sentences? Have you noticed that these sentences begin with a word of negation? That is the first step to removing the negative thoughts from our internal dialogues. If we eliminate these words negative everything magically changes. Imagine how wonderful it is when we think positively in the examples above: "I will get elected", "I will find someone who loves me", and "I can handle this". Can you see it?
[Source](https://pixabay.com/es/photos/luci%c3%a9rnaga-componer-exhausto-romper-3031704/) Edited with Canva
Thinking positively strengthens your self-esteem so much that sometimes you feel you are invincible. However, you must guard against overly high expectations and keep your feet firmly on the ground. Our positive thoughts should always have a dose of reality but always hope for the best. If you start by eliminating from your internal dialogues (thoughts) the words no, never, ever, nobody, your actions will inevitably turn towards achievements that will make you feel good. I recognize that at the beginning it is not easy, but every time we start a sentence with some of these words of negation, we must be able to recognize them and suppress them from our internal dialogues or verbalization with others. Over time, it will be easier, and thinking positively will become a habit that will bring us wellness.
[Source](https://pixabay.com/es/illustrations/fractal-textura-antecedentes-dise%c3%b1o-2573303/) Edited with Canva
It is always good to remember that the human mind is composed of multiple paths as if it were a labyrinth. Try to get to know it so that you can draw a map and not get lost in it. Always leave breadcrumbs on the path so that you can always return to a state of full consciousness.
Do you ever try this before? I would love to hear about your experience generating positive thoughts!

Thanks for reading. See you in next post!
