I visited A garden centre recently and was originally looking for some mint and basil seeds it is coming to the end of the season but normally the seeds go really cheap this time of year and most of the time the seeds do not expire so are always good for the following year and even winter for some easy basil growing.

My former work colleague got a job at this new place so that was another reason for visiting as I like to keep in contact with him especially as we do not really meet up due to distance and work schedules. He informed me that A lorry delivering plants had recently arrived but the stock inside was all damaged and ruined due to the trolleys holding all the plants not being secure. Sadly this meant that most of the indoor and outdoor plants came in ruined with most of the pots they were growing in smashed and plants bent. after looking at the picture it looked quite bad however he did offer me 1 of around 17 Bonsai Trees that somehow survived the ordeal either with minor cracks to the pots or loss of compost.

it was free and as thank you to him for doing that I purchased some Bonsai compost that he helped me sort and sent me on the way.

I now am in possession of A small Bonsai Tree, I have never owned one, and I have no idea what I'm doing but I think it is A great little experience for me and I look forward to giving it A go and hopefully saving and keeping this Bonsai.
