Hello all my first ever post here. I'm excited to finally get started here. I know quite a few users here from my time in read.cash. Looking foward to interacting  with some of them I haven't seen in awhile. I'm here on the referral link of @duvinca. Thank you Duvinca, after much talk about it here I am. Well let me get to what I will write about which is myself.

I can't mention my whole life, but let me give you a small incomplete summary of it for the rest of this article. I'll start with some general information about me and what I do for a living. Mostly everyone has hobbies so I'll tell you a few of mine. I will also mention my aim as an author here and certain genre I like to write. BTW the picture is only hours old above:)

**About me**

Well if the picture didn't give it away above, I hail in the United States. To be a little more specific I live in the state of Iowa. I feel like I'm still young even though l will be turning the big 50 this year. I'm married and a father of one. I consider myself nice, generous and very easy going. I can be serious one moment and be funny the next.

After high school I enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF). I did just over 7 years and got to see some interesting places. I worked in the transportation career field. 

After getting out I decided to pursue the USAF again but this time as government employee (civilian). I got a job doing the same thing I did when I was in the military. Only difference is I don't have to deploy to areas of concern. I really love my job and it gives me a sense of accomplishment serving my country. My primary duties are loading and offloading cargo aircraft.

I also work part time as delivery driver. This job is really my side hussling thing. I love how I have the freedom of making my own hours. Between my full-time job and this one I have worked up to 80 hours  a week

Well a picture says a 1000 words. There you have it, my favorite hobby is fishing. I started at a young age and got hooked immediately. I fish all year around on both open and frozen water. There's many things I hold dear, but don't mess with my fishing poles!!

Wood working is another hobby of mine. I'm not a full pledged carpenter but I like to create things out of wood that are useful. A favorite of mine is to use re-purpose wood. I have used wood from old decks, fences, and barns. I just like to bring the wood back to life. Sometimes I leave it looking rustic by not doing much to it. I have made benches, shelves, racks, and many other things.

**Me as an author**

I haven't gave years to writing. It's been almost 6 months now that I have taken it serious. I will say it has helped me as a person. I'm glad I got into writing on platforms. I really can say I've meant some great individuals. I enjoy reading a little more than I do writing. So be assured I will be appreciative of authors here.

What do I like to write about? I think one of my favorite things to write about are my experiences. I have written only a few non-fiction stories but I think I will try to do some more. Another thing I like to do is create challenge articles. I really enjoy creating engagement among my fellow authors and doing challenges I feel I succeed at it. 

Why Hive now? I find it will challenge me to become a better writer. A new place where I can meet new people and learn more things. Coming here I will have more access to more platform articles. I find it interesting to read and have the opportunity to interact with an author if I want to. 

**After thoughts**

I hope I can have an impact here and meet some new interesting individuals. I can promise you the more I write the better you will know more about me. I'm excited to be here and hope my time here will gather approval. I really look forward on the days ahead as I learn and better understand on how things work here.
