<center><b>This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.</b></center>

<p>I had a really poor start of the week with Genk not delivering playing their worst match of the season away against Eupen setting me up with a -0.82 unit loss. The remainder of the week went better which eventually got me to a limited loss of -0.28 units continuing the same beark-even / slight loss stretch that I'm currently in.</p>

<p>Something I wanted to write about in these results posts is <i>"Uninformed Optimism"</i> and <i>"Informed Pessimism"</i> which perfectly comes in when betting. Newer bettors with less experience tend to see betting true a lens of Optimism as they are uninformed thinking it's easy to actually be a winner while the longer you are in this market, the more Pessimistic you get as you become informed about how tight the lines actually are set most of the time.</p>

<p>Basically it's not easy to beat the market and these days it's much more about finding smaller edges as the big ones are just extremely rare or require insights and skills that are way above average. Getting my personal skill up is one of the things I'm still working on to at least keep my edge. </p>

Only 2 Bets this week both on Genk with 1 half loser and 1 winner for some nice profit. I'm now this season at 144 bets taken and +9.589 units profit from them at flat stakes or +6.66% ROI.

The last match had the potential to be a 1.3+ unit big win but a late goal from AA Gent made it into "only" a 0.8 unit profit. I almost fully came down to the expected profit range which pretty much always is inevitable and I'm looking to bounce up from here on out while at the same time making sure not to take the risk to see it break down fully.
