Three Tune Tuesday・Japanese Jazz with Bohemian Voodoo
Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Evening Groove / Three Tune Tuesday post.

As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.

This week we are back to our exploration of Japanese jazz. Today, a new one for me. I was at the music store talking to another customer. He suggested a group I had never heard of before: Bohemian Voodoo, written as one word ("bohemianvoodoo"). I went and watched some of their songs on YouTube and I really dug their sound!

I searched around. There isn't too much info about them, but there is an entry for them on the Japanese Wikipedia ([See here](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemianvoodoo), but warning: it's in Japanese). Seems like they have been around for awhile, having formed in Yokohama in 2008. They have released five albums, with the last of them coming out only a few months ago.

These guys are new to me too, so I don't know what their hit songs are yet. So I'm just going to pick out three that hit me right. Let's jump in!

**Lapis Lazuli**

I was immediately drawn to this song just from the name. My oldest son loves rocks and wants to be a geologist, and lapis lazuli is one of his favorite gemstones.

The song starts out like some latin jazz but departs from there. It's really nice and smooth.

**Adria Blue**

This time I found their official music video. It's nice to watch them as they play. That drummer especially really seems to be getting into it and enjoying himself.

This is another mellow piece like the first. Just a really nice sound to relax to. See what you think.

**Cleopatra's Dream**

Another song that attracted me from the title. This one is much more uptempo than the previous two. I love the energy!

So what's your favorite? If you liked those, [here is](http://bohemianvoodoo.jp/) their official website which has some linked music videos. Or just search YouTube and many more of their songs will come up.

Enjoy!
