Die Prophezeiungen der Simpsons sind mittlerweile weltbekannt und manchmal fast schon unheimlich. Mit dem sich nähernden Ende des Falls Ripple Labs vs. SEC haben wir jetzt eine verblüffende Preisvorhersage der amerikanischen Comic-Serie bekommen.

Das Autorenteam der Simpsons hat schon so einige Ereignisse vorhergesagt, von Disneys Fox-Kauf über die Präsidentschaft von Donald Trump bis hin zu Anschuldigungen wegen fehlerhafter Wahlmaschinen während der Präsidentschaftswahlen. Werfen wir also mal einen Blick auf ihre Kryptoprophezeiungen.

In Folge 13 von Staffel 31 erhält Lisa von Professor John I.Q. Nerdelbaum Frink Jr. eine Krypto-Lektion. Er zeigt Lisa ein Erklärvideo, in dem Jim Parsons (der Schauspieler von Sheldon Cooper in Big Bang Theory) Kryptowährungen erklärt.

Im Laufe der Episoden singt ein Buch, ein Lied mit dem Text: “Ich bin so etwas wie der Cache des Universums, nicht in deiner Brieftasche, aber auf deinem Computer.”

All diese Anspielungen sind verblüffend. Ist es an der Zeit, dieser XRP-Prognose von den Hellsehern der Simpsons-Produktion zu glauben?

Erwartet uns ein Ende im Verfahren zwischen der SEC und Ripple? Als die US-Börsenaufsicht SEC Ende 2020 eine Klage gegen Ripple einreichte und dabei das Unternehmen beschuldigte, dass es sich beim ICO (Initial Coin Offering) des XRP Coins um eine Wertpapierausgabe handelte, führte ein Abverkauf inmitten des Bullruns auf dem Kryptomarkt für einen enormen Kursverlust bei XRP.

Anschließend hatte die Kryptowährung ihren Kurs erneut vervielfachen können, ehe der Krypto-Winter auch den XRP-Kurs in Mitleidenschaft zog.

Das Gerichtsverfahren hatte sich die SEC deutlich leichter vorgestellt. Stattdessen verwickelte sich die SEC in ihrer Argumentation immer wieder in Widersprüche. Selbst die zuständige Richterin Sarah Netburn bezeichnete einen Versuch der SEC, wichtige Dokumente zurückzuhalten, als „Heuchelei“. Damals ging es um die Veröffentlichung von Dokumenten, die Informationen über eine Rede von Hinman, dem ehemaligen Direktor der SEC, beinhalteten. Hinman vertrat damals die Meinung, dass Ethereum kein Wertpapier sei.

Die SEC selbst ist hingegen überzeugt, dass aktuell nur Bitcoin kein Wertpapier darstellt. Auch der ehemalige CEO von MicroStrategy, Michael J. Saylor, vertritt diese Ansicht. Doch auch andere Krypto-Persönlichkeiten äußerten sich hierzu.

Mein persönliches Fazit: Von vielen Kryptoenthusiasten wird XRP als der böse Bankencoin beschimpft.  Tatsächlich ist es so, dass sich ausgerechnet Ethereum und Staking Coins zu Banken Coins entwickeln. 

XRP habe ich nie aus den Augen verloren. Meiner Meinung nach ist XRP kein Konkurrent von Bitcoin sondern vom Sepa und Swift Bankensystem. Ich rechnen mittlerweile damit, dass XRP nicht als Wertpapier reguliert wird.  Was wiederum den Kryptomarkt und andere Kryptoprojekte positiv beeinflusst. Da der SEC ihre Argumentation entzogen. Ein positives Urteil könnte den Kryptofrühling einläuten.

The Simpsons writing team has predicted quite a few events, from Disney's Fox purchase to Donald Trump's presidency to allegations of faulty voting machines during the presidential election. So let's take a look at their cryptoprophecies.

In episode 13 of season 31, Lisa receives a cryptoprophecy from Professor John I.Q. Nerdelbaum Frink Jr. a crypto lesson. He shows Lisa an explainer video in which Jim Parsons (the actor of Sheldon Cooper in Big Bang Theory) explains cryptocurrencies.

In the course of the episodes, a book, sings a song with the lyrics, "I'm kind of like the cache of the universe, not in your wallet, but on your computer."

All these allusions are amazing. Is it time to believe this XRP prediction from the psychics of The Simpsons production?

Do we expect an end in the proceedings between the SEC and Ripple? When the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Ripple in late 2020, accusing the company that the ICO (Initial Coin Offering) of the XRP coin was a securities offering, a sell-off amid the crypto market bull run led to a huge drop in XRP's price.

Subsequently, the cryptocurrency had been able to multiply its price again before the crypto winter also affected the XRP price.

The SEC had imagined the legal proceedings to be much easier. Instead, the SEC repeatedly entangled itself in contradictions in its argumentation. Even the judge in charge, Sarah Netburn, called an attempt by the SEC to withhold important documents "hypocrisy." At issue at the time was the release of documents that included information about a speech by Hinman, the SEC's former director. Hinman's opinion at the time was that Ethereum was not a security.

The SEC itself, on the other hand, is convinced that currently only Bitcoin is not a security. The former CEO of MicroStrategy, Michael J. Saylor, also holds this view. But other crypto personalities also commented on this.

My personal conclusion: by many crypto enthusiasts, XRP is labeled as the evil banking coin.  In fact, Ethereum and Staking Coins of all things are becoming banking coins. 

I have never lost sight of XRP. In my opinion, XRP is not a competitor of Bitcoin but of the Sepa and Swift banking system. I expect by now that XRP will not be regulated as a security.  Which in turn will positively impact the crypto market and other crypto projects. Since the SEC has been deprived of its reasoning. A positive ruling could herald the crypto spring.
