***CONCEPTUAL DEFINITION OF PLANNING***
Planning is an act or process of creating strategic steps and organising objectives in order to achieve specific goals.

Life can be funny at times, it is in human nature to make plans for things that are yet to come in order for us to take charge of any situation but recently I realised the control we have over our surroundings and existence is so little. there is a funny statement I got myself accustomed to and enjoy a lot, it says life is what happens while we are making other plans.

As a planner you must first be able to understand the kind of objective you want to achieve with your plans and how you intend to achieve it. the type of goals or objectives you are set out to achieve determines the type of approach you will utilise. 

***THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF GOALS
SHORT TERM GOALS AND LONG TERM GOALS***

***1) SHORT TERM GOALS:*** This is the type of goals set for the immediate, the possibility of it being achieved are very high because all the major items to be used in achieving such a goal are in hand already. for you to achieve short term goals, you need to make short term plans.

***2) LONG TERM GOALS:*** This is the type of goals set to be achieved over a long period of time, the reward are massive but the difficulty level differs from short term goals because one of the factors that affect planners while making plans for long term goals is time. the more time used on such plan if an individual is unable discipline him/herself  to endure the hardship that comes along with the prolonged  gratification of such a plan, the interest in such plans will reduce. it is advisable for every long term planner to put in place back up plans that will assist him/her in case he/she is unable to cope.


***THERE ARE SOME FACTORS THAT AFFECT PLANNING***

***1) FINANCIAL CONSTRAINTS:*** Money is like fuel for plans, it is a form of extrinsic stimulator that put things in place for every planner. in ability of a planner to have access to funding that will assist him/her to turn such plan into reality, it will be highly difficult for such plans to pull through. A lot of business plan has perished due to this factor.

***2) ENVIRONMENT:*** this factor is a major factor a planner must consider before putting in place a plan, he/she must consider and analyse the kind of environment he/she is planning on executing such plan. some environment are not conducive and supportive of some plans. you must do SWOT ANALYSIS [SWOT: Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat] of the kind of environment you are in.

For example, for someone planning to build a farm, you must consider factors like, is the land a fertile land? is there infrastructure put in a place such as roads, to assist you in getting your farm products out? is the community free from banditry? is there any pest control in place?  is the land free from erosion? e.t.c you must consider all this factor before going into farming.

***3) INADEQUATE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:*** Before making plans for some goals, there is a need for you to engage yourself in an intensive research about what you want to venture into. there is a serious need of acquisition of knowledge and experience on such a plan. inadequate understanding of the plan will lead to a disastrous end because even well planned plans still fails.  A lot of individuals have lot huge some of money in investment including me, due to inadequate information about such investment. especially those who invest in crypto currencies.

***4) INDISCIPLINE:*** Every plan has its own Do's and Don't in other for the plan to be achieved, inability of an individual to keep up with the task the plan has put in place such action will jeopardise the plan. in some cases, when an individual realise that the plan is not yielding results has he or she might have imagined, such individual might feel reluctant to follow through with the plan. for a plan to be achieved you must be able to cope with the hardships that comes inline with the plan. 

***DAYS I NEVER PLANNED FOR***

During my Industrial training days in 2018/2019 I was opportuned to work in a logistic company called Duncan maritime limited, as a risk management officer. while working there through my pay check and other incentives I was able to accumulate some funds.

I was suppose to go back to school after my one year I.T but I was patiently waiting for the school I graduated from to accredit Higher national diploma for mass communication, moreover the pay in the company was good, so I never bothered about the time spent.

In the process of working in the company I was introduced to a side hustle investment called quintessential investment limited. I did all the the verification I could on the platform, which I was able to validate the existence of such investment company. After months of excessive research, I started investing bit by bit, since the investment return is 30roi per month within few months I was able to accumulate a lot of cash.

I started making plans for my Higher national diploma, I got some of the few things I need in the process but I was not able to get all not because I couldn't, I just didn't want my investment capital to reduce. I was completely focused on increasing my capital without paying attention to the risk at stake. moreover the person that introduced me to it had invested a lot more than I have.

Few months after the company developed issues and withdrawal starts coming late than usual, when I realised that I stopped increasing my capital but I still had a lot of capital invested in the company, so I requested for total withdraw which never came through.
Due to few profit returns have made, I quickly make use of it in  purchasing some extra stuff I needed for school but it was not enough, then I realised I have received the consequence of my greed.

I could have made it out if I had make plans for such turn out, as a result of thinking positively about the company and being ignorant about some factors I should have considered while I was investing I nearly lost my admission.

***B) All that glitters is not good***
***C) Never get greedy*** 
***D) Always have a back up plan***
***E) Price for ignorance is expensive***
***F) Never consider thinking negatively as a bad energy***
