Happy Monday Hiveworld and I hope you are well and staying safe.

The best thing to ever happen to me was becoming a Dad. Nothing else comes close and although it is a minefield of responsibility I wouldn't have it any other way.

From a photography point of view he has provided me with the perfect model, although not always in the mood for having a camera thrusted in his face :) He's the main reason I got my first proper camera and therefore the reason I discovered my beloved Light Painting.

Here are a few shots which hold a special place in my heart of great times with my very own small person.

Gimme all your dinosaurs

Had to bribe the tiddler with a new Dino to get him to stand still in this pose until I got the lighting right.
Yongnuo 565ex fired at 24mm bounced into my brolly from a stand camera left.

The plans we're drawn and the gaffer wasn't taking any prisoners..... There was a big job breaking out He was running to a tight schedule as the clients were due to move in any day. Everything needed done yesterday and the budget was tight.

Best get the kettle on then and roll a tab.

Had this idea for a while and tonight was as good a night as any. Little one bathed and promised warm milk and two stories if he did as he was told for once.

I threw my old work gear on from my tiling days then drew the plans under his instruction. Hats on (safety first) and framed and focused. Flashgun fired through umbrella camera right on -2 ettl 80mm.

About a Boy.

A fine morning out with my little dude and a run out for one of my new lenses. I bought two yesterday for £50. Bagain. Happy days. The Helios 44/2 used here and a Pentax Super Takomar 135 3.5. The Helios being so far my fave as I'm not used to anything as long as the 135. Looking forward to shooting more with this pair and adding other weird and wonderful vintage glass to my kit bag.

Man Down.

Just me and the boy out for a country walk this morning and down there super early to beat the masses and catch some nice light.

What a difference a bit of sunshine makes.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these as much as we did making them.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday and take it easy.

Happy days
