 "Mr Akmal bought a new heavy bike yesterday. " "Yes, I saw it when I was coming back from the market." "This is the same bike that I dreamed of ever. But don't worry, I will buy it soon." "Are you serious? How would you do it? We are hardly catering to our needs with your salary, as you know the prices of items have been increased in the market since the new budget was implemented by the government." "Yes I know, but I will use my savings." "Savings? But I don't think we currently have any savings." "What's about the debt which Mr Naveed will pay me? I will use it to buy my new bike." Nain was talking to his wife(Mona) about their neighbor who currently bought a new bike. This woke up the inner urge of Mr Nain which was with him for so many years. Nain always wanted to buy this bike, but his financial condition was not well as he was working in a company as a salesman. Once Nain and his friend, Naveed decided to start their own business. They were enthusiastic about it, so when Nain asked his wife to sell her jewelry to pay him the money he needed, she couldn't deny it. She gave him her jewellery and Nain used that money to start a new business. They wanted to start it from home, as they did not have enough money to pay the rent for their office. After some time, they realized that they had made a mistake in starting such a business which didn't have any scope in the market. So Nain suggested Naveed to end up the business. Naveed agreed to that and sold all the material. But when Nain demanded his money, Naveed told him that he had invested the money in crypto and soon they would get a profit. "How could you invest my money without my permission.?" " That's my mistake! But believe me, I did this just for our good and you will realize it soon when the same money will get doubled." Naveed convinced him to wait for just one month to which Nain agreed. But he was very impatient, so he kept demanding his money back to back. And when he saw the new bike of his neighbor, he couldn't hold on to himself. He decided to demand his money from Naveed. "You have just three days, to pay my money otherwise I will go to court. " "Are you mad? I am doing this just for your sake and you are going insane on me. " "I don't want my good, just pay me my money." "Alright! I will pay you tomorrow." Naveed arranged the money in some way and the next day he paid him all his money. Nain was happy to receive his money and went straight to buy his heavy bike. When he came back, he screamed with happiness. "Mona! Mona! Come out, look I have bought a new bike." Everyone in the neighborhood came to see his new bike like they did for Mr Akmal. In the evening, they were sitting in the backyard as Mona was watering her plants. He said, "The money could be saved for our difficult time." "What do you man?" "I don’t think we needed this bike." "But it was my wish, which I fulfilled. So don't spoil my happiness." Nain was a selfish person, he never cared for what his wife said to him. He was just concerned with his pleasure. The next day, Nain got a call from Naveed and he gave him the news about his investment. "If only you would have waited for one day, the things would be different. " "What do you mean by this? "Have you seen the rise of the token in which I invested? It has been doubled. But still, Nain was not able to understand what he said to him. The next day, Nain left his home for office with his new bike. On the way suddenly he lost balance and his bike got hit by the power pole. The speed was high so it was a bad accident. But luckily Nain fell on the side of the road and didn't get any serious injuries, but the bike was broken. People gathered to pick him up, but he was more worried about his bike. Seeing the condition of the bike Nain was emotionally damaged. The money was wasted. The power of hindsight made him realize his mistake of buying the bike. Thanks for reading.
