**Steem scams are beginning to appear. People who can not distinguish between original and counterfeit sites lose a lot of money.**

Steemit could limit such scams, but apparently they do not want to. I began to wonder - hmm ... can I do something? And I remembered the SteemDragon project that I started a long time ago.

## What is SteemDragon?

SteemDragon was supposed to be a modified version of Firefox and / or Chrome for the Steem network. The pages that were supposed to work were Steem.

## Yesterday

As a Steem curator I have to view people's entries. At one point, one person wrote that he had logged in to Steemit and logged out. Quick intervention - phishing. The scammer took 70 Steem Dollars and began sending out spam.

Fortunately, the account was recovered, but I started to wonder - why will not Steemit do anything about it? So I started to think about what I can do for our community.

## SteemDragon?

No. To create a browser (rewrite) you need to read a little about it, but I started on a different side. What to do to make people safe to browse Steem today?

Bingo - Ublock and relevant rules.

## uBlock?

The project is very simple. The person installs a new browser (e.g. Firefox), which will serve only for Steem. Additionally, it adds my rules to uBlock. My rules work like this:
- Block all pages
- Unblock steemit.com
- Unblock Steemd

and so on. This means that if someone wants to enter any other page outside of the list - he will get a warning. Of course, he can add a page to the white list and be fooled.

Naturally. Generally, I will add new rules to uBlock in my free time, but if someone wants to help by sending my own - I will gladly accept. The project is Open Source, so there are no problems with it.

Maybe it will be created, maybe not. I have never made my own version of a web browser.

## Hmm ... utopian?

I decided to put all my FLOSS projects on Utopian on Blog Post. Many people suggest using development, but I do not want to fight moderation, which will reject any of my projects. I believe that the quantity or quality should not be taken into account - but also the idea. A real idea that can solve people's problems. I am sure that this project would be rejected in any other category, but it is very important for Steemian (I hope), because it can save many people who have built up the account for years.

## At the end

I believe that this project will develop as a key protection for users against thieves. I would like to know your opinion on this subject.
