Birdwatching is something very nice for brain, soul and body. It is somthing that can bring me down from a hard day of work, or just as a great time to spend during my freetime or on the weekend. Ther are always very interesting things to see and since there are a bunch of different birds it is also some kind of "Collection" that I make in my brain as well as tracking the different species that I saw in a birding App. Also here on Hive I now try to keep track of the bird pictures I posted in my [Curated Collection](https://peakd.com/ccc/florian-glechner/collection-of-different-bird-species-that-i-managed-to-photograph). Curlews are one of my favorite birds since they have such a long beak and if you know the right spots you might get pretty close to them. They are also one of the bigger birds we have here. I already found them on different locations here in Austria but the main locations where I saw them is either the Inn River or the Lake Neusiedler.  *Curlew in flight. I really like it when I can hear their song in the early morning or evening. Although they are here in Austria for the whole year in winter and in early spring it is probably the best time to take some pictures of them. In late spring and summer it is very difficult to see them since they are breeding and hiding in the high grass most of the time and therfore taking pictures of them during the summer can be very difficult.  *The Curlew has a pretty long beak.
