Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊  This week my handsome husband and I had our 32nd anniversary and I spent the day making different batches of cookies for us to enjoy in celebration, these ones are heading into the freezer. 😊  These were the ones we enjoyed that day and then there was another container that was to get us through the weekend on the counter. 😊  The pigeons putting on a show. 😊  The pretty little squirrel we call H&T, (short for Head and Tail,) didn’t let the grey, wet days stop her from coming to visit us this week. 😊  The hatchlings had to use the top of the dog box several times this week to shelter from the various rain showers that erupted suddenly, then dissipated just as fast, each day this week, but the rain brought out worms, which made their garden scratch time even more enjoyable for them. 😊  A soggy H&T grabbing another snack, as a new mom, she needs to refill her energy stores often and we’re always happy to see her. 😊  Ducky (left) and Floyd (right) hanging out in the herb garden. 😊  Training the hatchlings to head into the barn at bedtime by herding them from over in the herb garden and into the barn where their brooder box is. 😊  These have gotten quite big and bloomy. 😊  We noticed that our Bleeding-Heart plant had two different colours of blossoms on it, which was neat, to us, because in years past there had only been the darker pink ones. 😊  The Foxglove plant is looking lovely this year too, I can’t believe how much its grown, its tripled in size since we planted it. 😊  Our freezer is getting pretty low, so I made hamburger stew, (beef stew using ground beef instead of chunky stew meat,) to get us through the weekend. 😊  The yeast activating before I started making bread and buns for the weekend to go with our hamburger stew. 😊  Yesterday, we woke up to a thick fog, but at least I could still see my favourite tree, though most of the rest of the property was nearly invisible. 😊  This weekends buns. 😊  I didn’t even get these energy balls into the freezer before my handsome husband grabbed a few. 😊  This weekends bread design. 😊  H&T had some very dirty paws when she came by after the downpour stopped yesterday. 😊  Sunshine, behind the fog, but still sunshine. YAY! 😊  I took this shot last night. Is it just me or does this sunset look like it was colored in after the fact to anyone else? 😊  Our little strawberry patch looking lovely this morning. 😊  The garlic are flowering. 😊  So are the onions. 😊  The sweet and the spicy peppers survived the transplant and the crazy weather. 😊  Our potatoes are looking fantastic, so far. A few spots needed replanting; they haven’t come up yet and there are no potato bugs in sight, but we’re keeping an eye out for their imminent arrival. 😊  Well, that was how things have been going for us here.
