Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊  One of our pigeons taking off from the roof and flying right over me. 😊  The young pigeon we call Smokey grabbing a snack from my handsome husband while her friend watches to make sure it’s safe. 😊  My handsome husband having a chat with the main flock about being nice to the hatchlings before they merged with them. 😊  Smokey and her friends decided it was safe and all joined in. 😊  The always lovely Nacho grabbing a snack before the rain came. 😊  Nacho having a snack and chat with my handsome husband. 😊  We think the lovely H&T; seen here, (as she’s telling the pigeons to stay away from her food,) will be having her babies soon, she’s getting bigger every day and we’re looking forward to meeting our next generation of squirrel friends. 😊  Despite our hatchling Caramels best efforts to scratch them up, our asparagus plants are doing well, at least we think they are, it’s our first time ever growing them, so we aren’t 100% positive what they should look like. They look healthy and are getting bigger, so we’re going to say they’re good. 😊  I only made a small batch of buns to get us through the weekend and I used the rest of the dough to experiment. 😊  Peek-a-boo, our squirrel sees you. LOL! 😊  With the rest of the dough, from the buns I made these. I was trying to make mini apple turnovers/buns, but they didn’t turn out quite as I’d hoped or expected. My handsome husband said they tasted just like the apple fritters from Tim Hortons minus the icing/glaze, so despite their appearance they tasted good and that’s what I was hoping for. 😊  I went with just a regular slashed line design for this week’s bread, and I gave it an additional rise before cooking it. That gave it a nice, super soft and fluffy interior and had a nice crisp on the bottom.
