Well if I do have a look at my feed, I do see a lot of posts about this topics. To bad, I am not mentioned anywhere, which should ring a bell.

Now I can write about the people I do follow and why. I also can write how they did have an impact on my (steem) life in general, but I will take a different approach. In my early days in the Steem Ocean (after 4 or 5 months) I did write 3 posts about the people I am following. Trying to put them in the spotlight to get them more followers or attraction. For some this wasn't necesarry, others could use a push in the back from a small shrimp back in the days!

I did mention 9 people, so let's find out if they are still active on steem and if they are still on my follow list.

# Me!
For the ones who don't know me! I did start those posts each time with a selfie of myself. So I will do this here again!
If I would have known that I would write this post this morning, I would have shaven myself :)

This what I did write 2 years ago about him! 
If have to admit that he is one of my loyalest followers but that not why he is the first to present!
He doesn't post often, around once a week I guess, but when he does, it is mostly spot on.
I can really recommend his article about "crypto purification", which can be found here.
Beside this he also thinks that interaction is vital to Steemit!
His main topics are crypto related!

Now: Well his last post was 10 month ago and his wallet has been mostly cleaned out! To be honest, I really miss him. I did have contact with him also offside the steem blockchain but the communication lines did dry up!
I am still following, so that I will be noticed if he comes back again!

Well this one is probably a familiar name, which probably will pop up in more posts about the following challenge!
This what I did wrote back in the days:
Well he is my role model based on replying to comments and commenting in general. Most of his post are about the future of the blockchain and about Steemit. He has his opinion and shares this with the world. And he doesn't matter if you agree or disagree, he is always open for an in depth discussion.
The reason I do read his articles is cause they make my think, which I do like.

Now: Back in those days, while I was only plankton in the steem ocean, I was one of the most engaged steemians around. Weeks without more than 100 comments didn't come by that often! For some reason, he has been dropped of my follow list, but I will reinstate him now!
He is the one he did show me the importance of engagement! So thanks for that mate!
His blog is still the place to be to get an overview what is happening on the steem blockchain!

Like written above I was a real engaged steemian, so I couldn't stay away from Asher's Engagement League. Nowadays, I can't be found on the leaderboard anymore, due to not being engaged enough!

This is what I did write about Asher:
Well I guess he will not be posting as much as he used to do. Several good reasons for this. He is now running a Steem witness program. He thinks that interaction is utmost important to Steem.
Besides this he does gave us insight into our Steem statistics (you really should do another round of these :)). And because he is living on the beautiful Mallorca, he has to get his ass out of the house with the summer coming along.
I will not present a post of him, but will redirect you to the curation and engagement contest he is hosting! This shows how important interaction is to him! Just leave a reply on the previous round and you will be registered! 

Now: I am still following Asher. But don't engage enough with him anymore. Back in the days he was a full time steemian enjoying the good weather on the most beautiful island of Europe. To bad that his dream was more or less blocked byt the crypto winter!
He is still running the engagement league! A great bloke!

My comments 2 years ago about him:

He is planning to do an early retirement and is trying to gather enough money as he could. He does calculation about how much he thinks that he and his family need to achieve this.
I did mention to him, to I do find it a great plan but that he also needs to enjoy life. He assured me that he does.
Momentarily he is writing about Goodwill Outlet Income Experiment!
And yes my man, you are my porn lid king! (You will need to read his posts with this is amount, but it isn’t as obscure as it looks)

Now: To bad he is another one who did bite the dust! I really enjoyed reading his posts and his view on life! I do think that he is still around on the blockchain with leasing out some power! So if you do read this, feel free to drop a comment or contact me on discord. Time for some catching up!

The original founder of this idea. Master-set is from Russia and one of the most generious people here on the Steem blockchain! He does follow a fixed posting schedule.
Each day he is giving away at least 100% upvote to one of the comments he is receiving. To be honest this was what did attract me in the first place. He is a good guy and want to give something back to the community!
His schedule is:
Monday: crypto day
Tuesday: Welcome day (each week he welcomes at least 5 new people on Steemit
Wednesday: Friendsday (that where I did get the inspiration to come up with this series)
Thursday: Slice of life day
Friday: Naughty Friday (most of the time in Russian so no Idea what this is about )
Saturday: Eye of the beholder day, the best 3 videos he did see in the past week
Sunday: Funday (make him laugh and you will be rewarded
He is always telling that he writes crappy posts, but he is just to humble!

Now: He is still active on the steem blockchain and until some time ago he was still welcoming new steemians! Also the idea of writing these posts back in the day did come from him. He weekly wrote a post about another steemian!
Nowadays he does write mostly in Russian, which I can't understand :(

Another well know name in the steem ocean. I did discover him around 2 years ago and this is what I did wrote about him:
He is a rather fresh addition to my follow list but he already made it to the lists. There are various reasons for this. Among others, he speaks out his mind and his article takes me think.
But above all he is genuine! He replies on the all the comments, which do adds value to his post! He was accused lately of bullying minnows but he for sure isn’t one! He was following his heart by trying to support the @transparencybot and got caught up in some mud fighting. Here again, I will express my support to you!
He writes about life, the future, steemit and crypto/blockchain related things! According to me he is a must follow, but you all need to decide to yourself!

Now:
Well he is still as active as back then. Writing multiple posts a day. Within some of his posts there is some really deep shit! I am still following back I am not as engaged with him as I used to be. Time to change this again! Will drop some more non saying and ranting comments on your posts! Be prepared :)

Costonza is writing about his journey in Sportsbetting and has a weekly #steembasicincome contest around the Premier League. But that's not the only reason I am following him!
He could be called the Godfather of the sportsbetting community. He introduces weekly new sports betting blogs and support the one, which are on the good track, with some delegation!
Besides sportsbetting, he writes about sports betting and gambling related cryptos!
He is always in for a good conversation/discussion! And above all, he is from the country, which will be the next Football World Champion. Go red devils!

Now: Our relation goes beyong the steem blockchain! Together with him, @beat-the-bookies and @stimp-1024 we did start the sports betting community! We almost have daily contact on discord!
And I still do like to read about his posts! He writes about sports betting on the Belgian Jupiler Pro league and the steem based games. Keep on going man!

Krnel is pretty active on the Steem blockchain, not only be posting multiple articles each day, but also on the commenting front! He/She writes about multiple topics, but most of them are technology and philosophy related articles. He writes articles, which make you think, and this is what I really like about these posts!

Now: well he has completly disappeared from my radar. This had nothing to do with him personally but with just different interests. He isn't posting as much these days as he used to do. In his last post a week ago, he did write down that he became a dad! Good luck with his! I will add him back to my follow list!

Well this is funny. While I have following him apparently for 2 years, our contact has increased since 2 months ago. Mainly due to a shared interest!
Let's see what I did wrote about him when I just met him!
Here we have somebody who really believes that interacting is of utmost importance for the Steem blockchain, which is my direct link with him. But he also tries to support the newcomers and unnoticed great authors!
He is also hosting a pay-it-forward contest, which have lots of similarities with my friendship series! The catch there is that at least one of the Steemians who you will put forward, needs to have a reputation less then yours.
Keep it going!

Now: He is very busy with opening his toy/comic store! Due to this he isn't as active as he used to be. But we still do have contact via discord! Also great to have a chat with him!

# Impact
Well steem did have a big impact on my life. Only postive things have happened. We did start a sports betting community, which still has a very active discord!
I made online friends for life! Still have to meet some in real life. These things will happen for sure!

Maybe the biggest change was from my side. From being a very active Steemian toward a more silent user of the steem blockchain! I still do read a lot of post but my commenting stats have drop a lot. Maybe it is time to change this again and to create an upwards trend again!

I could have written a post about the people I am following at the moment, but I do have the opinion that it would be interesting to see how things are changing over time. Communication lines do dry up. Often this goes slowly! Thinking, mmh I should contact him or here again. This goes on until both parties do reach a point that this idea doesn't pop up again!

So, sorry peeps. I did choose to select the one who do have the most impact on me at the moment on the Steem Blockchain in my early days!
