You don't need to go to a known place to see wonderful views and locations in Iceland. You can choose a random location and make your own way for hiking. I used an app named Alltrails which shows you every trail that people have recorded. You can find so many trails or they don't even need to be trails. I found one trail near the place called Vatnsfjördur. It was a bit too long to complete it because it was already pretty late but we decided to stop and just take a short stroll and see the area. Located on the southern side of the Westfjörds, it's an absolutely gorgeous area.  We first took a walk near the sea over rugged terrain. There even was a small waterfall that looks to be nameless.  The water level seemed to be really low because many rocks were visible that usually seem to be underwater.  <hr>  <hr>  Having checked the seaside we walked a little to another direction where a quite huge lake was. Lake has the name Vatnsdalsvatn, what an interesting name because to translate it directly, it means lakes's lake. Path to the lake.  <hr>  I like to climb rocks lol.  A couple of more shots from this gorgeous area.  <hr>  <hr>  I wish we had more time to explore this area and complete this trail. Maybe next time?
