##  Today we are continuing in Genesis 4:24-26

Last week, we saw certain peoples were responsible for music, others for iron and metal working, some for tents. Today we see  Lemech calling down curses upon himself for killing someone ho had harmed him. He felt that he should have seven times the curses of Cain. 

By today's standard as well as that of the Torah, killing in self defense is excusable. It will be interesting if the fate of Lemech every comes up again.

In the opinion of Adam's wife, Seth was *appointed* to replace Abel. See in the hebrew that the words are similar, Seth is ***shet*** and appointed is ***shat*** .  Seth also seems to have been appointed to take his place on the chart of first born males below.  

Seth also had a son and he was called Enosh because at that time people began to call on the name (of) YHVH. By implication, none had called for the creator's attention previously. 

***Next week we will see how the chart below is exactly Genesis 5 states.***

I will leave this chart up while we are in relative verses.
