From the album <em>Go Time: Brooklyn 2</em> (2018) by Grace Kelly.</div></strong></p> <p><div class="text-justify">In 2011, Grace Kelly published <em>Man with the Hat</em> with the legendary alto saxophonist Phil Woods whose title refers to the leather cap he usually wears. When Kelly was fourteen, Wood invited her to play “I’ll Remember April” with him in one of his concerts, and was so impressed that he gave her his hat; as a thank you Kelly wrote “Man with the Hat” in his honor. The rest of the album contains a Woods theme and jazz standards. She also played with bebop saxophonist Frank Morgan, who taught her how to interpret ballads. In 2013 she presented the dynamic <em>Live at Scullers</em> with all the tracks written by her except two jazz standards, and from which the music videos “Eggshells” and “Ready Set Stay” came out. That same year she participated in <em>Duets</em> by singer, pianist, arranger, composer and record producer Bob Dorough. Also in 2014 Kelly appeared playing in the documentary <em>Sound of Redemption: The Frank Morgan Story</em>. In 2015 she collaborated in <em>The Mosaic Project: Love and Soul</em> by singer, drummer, songwriter and businesswoman Terri Lyne Carrington, and contributed to the soundtrack of Chase Mohseni’s drama film <em>Starcrossed</em>. In 2016 Kelly played for six months with Jon Batiste’s group Stay Human on the CBS nightly television show “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” based in New York.
