There are things I hardly attach sentiments to, this is because life in its natural state is cyclical. For example, happiness and sadness are emotional states that are driven by good or bad occurrences. Life sometimes brings you the good occurrences before the bad ones or vice versa, there's no rule or order of arrangements in which they're stipulated to happen. We're the sentimental ones, **the universe is a bigger, more complex, and inexplicable; an entity that will still exist after countless humans have come and exited.** > *Does this tingle your mind a little?* It's normal for humans to question the unfairness of life, and this is because of our sentimental state of mind. Sometimes, we're totally responsible for the good or bad things that happen to us, sometimes we're just actors in the unequivocality of life's series of events. For example, some people make simple mistakes, and these mistakes create multiple ripple effects, thereby affecting the most important aspect of their lives. They set the problem in motion, but it created far bigger consequences than they can ever imagine. On the other side, there are people who are fortunate to take a course of action or make a singular decision and it completely creates a positive outlook that changes their lives forever. > ***In life everyone is bound to encounter some negative and positive outcome*** .....however, there are actions, level of preparedness, readiness, or intentionality that either increase our chances or reduces them from encountering positive or negative outcomes. Understanding that we cannot completely experience good outcomes is accepting life's supremacy. No matter how powerful we become, we can only control what we know, perceive, or predict, the only thing we can do is hope and work towards increasing our chances of positive outcomes and reducing negative outcomes. A lot of people think that making and sustaining wealth is the only difficult thing in life. > This is totally false How about being able to control and own all the wealth, but cannot control your health enough from having obesity, diabetes, or renal failure? There are people who are at the pinnacle of wealth, wisdom, and power, yet a little illness killed them. However, as humans, we always have the illusion that we're in control or charge of our lives. Meanwhile, the aspects we control are not even enough to determine the things that happen to us. When we reduce the probability of sentimentality, this is when our eyes will open to countless fearful possibilities that we can never even fathom.

### Control Is A State Of Mind That Fosters Stability > Time is why life feels unfair, it isn't. It's how and what it is. ....the truth is, the reason why we miss out on some of life's harshest realities is not because we're prepared enough, we were just lucky enough. Sometimes, we tend to be stereotypical or one-sided about what luck is. It's not just being prepared for good fortunes. Luck is also being subconsciously fortunate, for things we completely know nothing about. Some people didn't attend functions where they could have met the people who could have activated or built their dreams, as a result of this, they missed the "one opportunity" that could have elevated them. > ***Life Can Change Or Remain The Way It Is, It's not "Paramount" Or "Hulu"*** Now missing this opportunity doesn't mean they're irresponsible or they'll die poor. When they work harder, they might just about become lucky in other spheres of life but missed out on that one sector that could have been life-changing. The reason why we say reality can be saddening is because we're consciously wired as sophisticated beings to create endless possibilities of how life should function. unfortunately, we're only mortals with powerful imaginations, and a large proprioception of our imagination cannot be birthed, because we're not bigger than our abilities. ### The Luck We Enjoy Sometimes Is mostly Divine ..... **inexplicable or perhaps___undeserved**? People are in charge of some percentage of their lives, sometimes we just about do enough to keep ourselves alive, build the wealth we want, establish the legacy or businesses we want, and marry the people we desire. There are fractions of people who will accomplish everything they want, and this has nothing to do with the midnight candles they burned. There are people who will do everything right, yet, they'll marry the wrong person, fail in their business attempts, go bankrupt, end up in debt, and finish their lives as failures and drunks despite starting out as bright prospects. This is why we say reality is harsh. We have less control over our lives more than we can imagine, most people are existing on the fabrics of **divine luck**. Only one little dent and everything comes crashing down. At the end of the day, our efforts, power, and Intentionality will not even contribute to our failures or successes.

> **Interested in some more of my works**

##### [Is it Easy To Make Money?](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/is-it-easy-to-make-money-) ##### [Nigeria: A Unique Business Market & Industry](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/nigeria-a-unique-business-market-and-industry) ##### [Virtual Bank Apps In Nigeria: An Experience Of Gamification](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/tfgktsjk) ##### [How To Find The Next "BIG" Meme Coin](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/how-to-find-the-next-big-meme-coin) ##### [Personal Finance: Achieving Intentional "Saving" Goals](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/snyczgol) ##### [Playing The Survival Game: Human Nature In Introspection](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/playing-the-survival-game-human-nature-in-introspection-rufcp3)
 Posted Using [LeoFinance Alpha](https://leofinance.io/@josediccus/the-illusion-of-control-a-nature-of-powerlessness-)
