How’s it going, Hive? I had to take a few days off. I’ve been really sick. Not COVID. Just a boring old cold or flu. It started settling in right after I returned from Viva Las Vegas, which isn’t surprising. Many of my friends have gotten COVID in the last week or so, but I’ve tested negative again and again. Either way, I’ve been feeling crummy. Chills, headache, congestion, achy joints and lethargy. It’s a shame because I had so much I wanted to do with Viva in the rear view mirror, but like they say, if you don’t make time to take a break, your body will make time for you. https://images.hive.blog/DQmTHyShodSQ2eEUudGsdzj4nrj8QZGnVRTMq6THdakTemB/samantha001.jpg Despite the ailment, I did manage to get a few edits done today. I’m notoriously bad at just laying in bed, so I used toe opportunity to review and edit a few shots from the Cervena Fox’s modeling workshop. She’s hosted several of these, often with different photographers. I was the guest photographer for this one during Viva Las Vegas and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the entire Rockabilly Weekend, surprisingly. That’s, in part, because all of the clients were just so easy to photograph and work with. ChinaDoll, whom I’ve shared photos of recently here on Hive, flew in from D.C. Quite an honor for me, knowing that our shoot event was a destination for so many beautiful models. We shot in Cervena’s home. I’ve worked in that space previously when I was in town in January, but during the day, I was able to capture an entirely different light with cool blueish tones cascading from the nearby windows and doors. There was a total of a dozen models that made it to join us for that day and I can’t wait to continue sharing more from this massive collaboration. I also have another shoot event with Ana that needs to be reviewed next, so sick or, that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow in addition to @mirrorpool meetings and illustration for upcoming NFT releases. There’s a lot of big things in the pipeline and I’m staying hyped about all if it.
