So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “CRYPTO ALONE”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “COMPULSORY CHECK-UP”. 

This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their thoughts on enforcing medical and mental checkups on the citizens and making it punishable for defaulters. While many see it as a good thing that will benefit the populace, however, making it a crime not to get a check-up would be taking it too far.

We got the opinion of members and many believed that no matter how vital good health is, everyone still has the right to go for check-ups of their own volition, forcing them to do it would be a gross abuse of their rights. Despite the intentions being for the best, this would be the wrong approach. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

*This author shared with us her opinion on the matter, supporting such a move. According to her, enforcing medical check-ups will be greatly beneficial to the people because everyone will be forced to confront their illnesses before it takes them down. However, she doesn’t support the fact that defaulters get to be jailed, that’s taking it too far. Other measures can be put in place to ensure people follow through.*

*For this author, he shared with us that while at first the idea seems like a wonderful one, it is one that he would never support in any way, especially because of the jail time promised to those who failed to show up. It’s a great idea and all, but the minute it becomes mandatory, it’s no longer a choice and as such violates the freedom of the people. Something that he can never roll with.*

*For this author, he suggests that instead of imposing jail time on defaulters, a viable alternative would be to reward those who actively participate. Like tax breaks and better health insurance, this could motivate people to take it more seriously. Even if not for their health, but for the benefits they stand to gain.*
