Just a little Sublime Sunday post from the woods with video of the hidden waterfall. We had some rain last night and today, a light rain, but steady. This always generates some nice action at "my" hidden little waterfall in the Vermont woods.  Above was zoomed a little from phone.  Here is the normal view. The drop-off and hill down to the waterfall is much taller and steeper than it looks from the photo. This was a nice walk in the light rain and restful compared to yesterday's work on the trails to get there. We had three large trees fall across the trail during the big storm a few months ago. One of them was VERY large.   This big tree was originally stretched all the way across the trail, about 2 feet high on the left angling to about 6 ft high on the right, not really tall enough to drive under safely with the ATV, or to feel safe even walking under it given the crushing weight of this huge thing well over 100 ft tall. Even rolling these cut sections was about all I could barely do. I was very impressed with the Ego Electric chainsaw taking this big boy out, having to make 5 separate cuts on the angled severely angled tree, which had been caught from fully falling by the others around it. It completed all these cuts and all the smaller cuts of the other two trees on one battery. The chain was starting to get dull by the time I finished with all the others though.  This was the smallest of the ones to move, a quick easy cut into sections and then off to the side. The larger section will make nice firewood without having to split it and into the back of the ATV it went.  Our second flowers of the year made an appearance, some nice yellow daffodils. Trees are all full of buds and we should be all greened up again in another week or two. And just to top it off, I had to hang near the waterfall for several minutes. It's quite nice to be out in the middle of the woods, miles from all and have this hidden gem to enjoy with Betty the dog.
