The Most Unexpected Secret Place to Boost Dopamine for the Ears!
##### Who would have guessed that audio dopamine ever existed?

Only exist when you get an opportunity to learn with one of the best audio mixers team....

You see, this shop wasn't a stumbled gem, but an intentional one. Today we were given an opportunity to understand our Audio Visual Mixer team the importance of good hearing as a worship team, both for musicians and vocals.

Sometimes we cringe at technology investment when we are so used to normal "wedges speakers" on stage and live raw sounds; but when technology starts to kick in, our lack of knowledge often put is lack of appreciation what sound engineers have to go through when they work on our input (singing / speaking)

##### Even the way holding a mic was important

And this is why we were recommended to come to this audio library to test our ears with proper hearing "aid" based on preferences. You see, normal "booster" (woofer effect) kind of headphones are no longer useful when you have a full band in your ears. They could even harm your hearing because of cheap quality ill-filtered earpiece.

Hence, the "rabbit hole" adventure begins! With an unpleasant empty "front desk" display, you would have wondered whether you went to the right place. However, once you pressed the door bell, you will just be let in to this narrow corridor with a neon sign headphone directing you to "go deeper".

To be honest I actually stood there for like about 15 seconds because I didn't hear much. It's like "going into some secret lab" because the stairs lead to underground. It does feel like you are "going into Alice Wonderland"

I actually stood at the staircase and froze a bit because i couldn't hear any movement... until I saw someone walked passed to the toilet...

I felt as if I am walking into some top secret chamber...

#### And true enough, it WAS!

A wonderland for sound junkies and sound engineers who strive to get the best equipment for their needs.

The nerd side of me was jumping with excitement 😳

You see, my pastor shared that God has given us one of the most amazing organ, our ear drums to enjoy the most magnificent soundwaves created by Him, and often times, we under estimated what our (healthy) ear drums can pick up with the right frequency.

With the right in-ears for the right "drivers" (yes, it is actually very complicated despite looking at this tiny gadget), you can amplify what frequency needed for better usage.

For examples, guitarists might need certain "crisp" sound, while bass players will need to hear lower soundwaves better; vocalists (between main singer / background supporters), over powering musical instruments might be overwhelming and drown the voices, and we might overstrain our voice box because we thought we were not singing loud enough.

#### That was my issue. My current in-ears did not serve a purpose I needed.
It was too overall compiled sound and was better for soundtracks, and my ears couldn't pick up voice registers.

(I know this sounds technical, but it's like a "karaoke band" is sounding so loud where you can barely hear what you are singing)

The server of the place was really friendly and I as offered multiple in-ears to try out. Judging from this expression (thanks to chat GPT rendered from my real selfie taken there), my eyes were REALLY expressing bewilderment with all the different types of in-ears (with the right fit). Things I never could pick up from a proper soundtrack were clear. It's like my ears just had a "dopamine fix".

And these are just mid-entry level category for vocals. I have tried the full-band experience and bass (lower sound registry) emphasis ones, and if you love the drums, your heart will definitely beat along with it!

But for work, I had to choose what I needed, and it is not cheap either, around $37 USD. Maybe when I save enough, for normal hearing enjoyment, I might get the other "full orchestra experience" version (which is surprisingly cheaper, around $18 USD - if you don't mind it is made of China - another surprising discovery how advance their tech has become)
