<div class = pull-left> Today, while reviewing my photographs to put together a post, I realized something very curious: If I look at the photographs without context and try to guess the era in which they were taken just by looking at the automobiles, it would seem they were taken between the years 1990 and no later than 2010... </div> <div class = pull-right> Hoy mientras revisaba mis fotografias para armar una publicacion me dí cuenta de algo muy curioso: Si veo las fotos sin contexto y intento adivinar la epoca en la que fueron tomadas solo fijándome en los automóviles pareciera que fueran tomadas entre los años 1990 y no mas de 2010... </div>  <div class = pull-left> And it's true, most of the automobiles in this city date from those years. Even if you see one painted "like new," it's probably from the 2000s... </div> <div class = pull-right> Y es que si, la mayoria de los automoviles de esta ciudad datan de esos años, incluso si ves alguno pintado "como nuevo" seguramente es de los años 2000... </div>  <div class = pull-left> It is not common here to see cars from the latest year. Most of the cars seen around the city are considered a bit old... </div> <div class = pull-right> Aqui no estan comun ver carros del ultimo año, la mayoria de los carros que se ven por la ciudad son considerados un poco antiguos... </div>    <div class = pull-left> And do you know what the craziest thing is? In any other country, all these cars would be in a junkyard, but here in Venezuela, they are sold at very high prices. For example, a 2007-2006 car can cost more than $3,500, and a 2012 car can cost $7,000! With that amount of money in another country of latam, you could get a much newer car with lower mileage! </div> <div class = pull-right> ¿Y saben que es lo mas loco? en cualquier otro pais todos estos carros estarian en un Desarmadero o yonker, pero aqui en Venezuela los venden a precios muy altos, por ejemplo un carro 2007-2006 puede costar mas de $3500 y un carro 2012 puede costar 7000$ Con esa cantidad de dinero en otro pais podrias conseguir un carro muchisimo mas nuevo y con menos recorrido! </div>     <div class = pull-left> Although it is true that in the last year, vehicle imports were opened up to Venezuela, and at least in my city, new cars with Colombian license plates are beginning to be seen, BUT this is not the norm. These cars are only used by a very select group of successful people... And only occasionally, very rarely, do you see a sports car gem like this: </div> <div class = pull-right> Aunque es cierto que desde hace menos de un año se abrieron las importaciones de vehiculos a venezuela y por lo menos en mi ciudad se estan empezando a ver carros nuevos con placa colombiana PERO no es lo normal, estos carros solo los usan un grupo muy selecto de personas exitosas... Y solo de vez en cuando, muy rara vez, vez alguna joya deportiva como esta: </div>  <div class = pull-left> I took all the photographs with my Canon R8 camera and a 24-105mm f/4 lens and only natural light.
