I love the rainy seasons, so much and the main reason is because of the cool weather it brings afterwards and also because I was born in one of the most rainy month I guess. In any case, I've always preferred having a cold day than a hot day as I'd be able to keep warm during cold days but would be only restless during hot days. 

So yeah, you can guess that I enjoy being under the rain while I was growing up... I loved the game we called **"Rain race"** back then 😅

If only those days would remain and we will never get older to have more responsibilities to carry, it would have been amazing but no... Reality hit me when I grew up to know better. While I was praying for the rain to fall even harder back then, my dad was struggling to work even under the rain... *What an irony of life!*

The first day I was sent to the market to get items, I went with a neighbor's child who was made to go with me so I couldn't get lost or loss the money for the items I wanted to buy. The rain started the moment we got to the market and for the first time, I was singing the song... *Rain rain, go away!* because I needed to go back home soon, just imagine someone who loves being rained on making such a wish.

One experience I can never forget about facing a heavy downpour was when I got lost in a new place I found myself and it started to rain. I had gone there to look for a product that was rare and I was directed to the place, I got to find the product and was on my way back home when the heavy downpour began. I didn't think it would rain so I was with no umbrella and was putting on a very light clothing... The cold that night outside was something else.

It was very dark and the rain was showing signs of not stopping, since my destination was very far, I decided to stay a bit longer at a dark corner I found but I was scared after some time as I was the only one waiting there, I began to walk under the rain looking for vehicles going my way even though there were no signs of them anywhere.

I remember I was about shedding tears when I saw a friend and her family driving by and about to go into a compound, I still wonder how she was able to figure out it was me... Maybe that wear was my favourite one so I've put it on too often 😅 she called me to join them to go inside so I could wait for the rain to subside before I go back home. It was already 8pm when I was relieved from my wet clothes and changed into a warm clothing, her mum prepared a very nice pepper soup with fresh fish for us to take.

They prepared a room for me to sleep when the mum refused that I go home that late since it would be hard to get a vehicle at that time. I had early morning plans the next day but I didn't bother about it as the treatment I got from that family was so overwhelming. They turned on their generated power supply and we saw an interesting movie before going to bed.

I had a good time in that house thanks to the rain, more reasons to love rainfalls but I bet the story would have been different if I had not met a friend that night.</div>
