Well we're forked and the world didn't come to an end. Horaaaaay! So what now? Well I'd personally like to see a reinvigorated push for people producing content. On the one end, we'll hopefully see more people curating, but on the other end, they need stuff to curate. They're human, they will want to reward stuff that potentially has some value.

I think it's a weird balance we have to strike on the current day Steem. If you've found a community that's into whatever it is you're into, that's GREAT, but I think most people are probably into niche subjects that it's hard to find (a lot) of other people into that thing. I think this is why most people just talk about Steem, because that's the thing we all have in common, so that's the subject where you're speaking to the most people.

For me at least, this isn't a chore, I like talking about Steem. I'm pretty into it if you haven't noticed, but I'll also be trying to post a fair amount of art, and thinking about ways to make that interesting to the audience we have here now. I think that's a big part of being a content creator that some people might miss here which is that just making something isn't really enough, and even just making something interesting isn't enough. I think you need to think about who you're showing it to, and ask yourself if this is something anyone will find interesting, whatever that thing is for you.

This is something I'm still learning as well, but I hope others will join in and do their best to make content for people, vs making content for rewards. If you do one the other will come I think. 

In other news the market dumped a fair amount and we're back to the 16 cent range. I took that opportunity to buy some Steem, but this time around I didn't power it up. I'm thinking I'm going to want to renew my SP leases when they run out and I want to start saving a bit of liquid Steem for that now. The 50/50 reward split is a lot better to you if you have more SP, so again, at these cheap prices, I'd look into dlease.io. Not financial advice, I'm just saying you should do it if you're not an idiot, no big deal if you are one, everyone's different.(kidding)

Some have said they're worried about the price, honestly I'm not really all that phased by it. The more I learn about Steem, and the more I see the direction things are going, I'm feeling more and more bullish. I think the prices of just about all cryptos currently are based on people gambling and looking to take your money by selling what you're buying. I dunno, that's just my take.
