Well, it took a long time, much longer than many people out there, but my Crypto finally is worth less than my dollar investment.  It doesn't feel great.

A big part of the downfall of my portfolio is my failure to take profits from Alts back in the spring when I had a chance to do so.  But for a long time I was able to stay right side up due to my willingness to sell SBD back when it shot up to $14-16 and then invest it in other things.

Being upside down is not much fun, unless you are Long Duk Dong

Truthfully, the coins I have in my wallet at the moment are primarily the same ones that had my portfolio at an all time high in April. They've just gone on to visit the upside down with the free fall of Bitcoin.

Some of these coins may never recover and go to zero.  As long as STEEM is not one of those coins, then my portfolio will recover.  It's just a matter of waiting out the pain and keeping an eye on those few opportunities that come up to take profit.  Every now and then one of my coins pumps for no known reason and I have to be prepared to sell while the opportunity to sell to ETH or BTC at a profit is available to me.  

I'm not overly worried about the dollar value of my portfolio.  If my portfolio value is growing in BTC, then I am in good shape.  Unfortunately, this week I made an annual low on my BTC value as well.  All these alts bottoming out brings the pain.  But the pain is where I wish I had more fiat on the sidelines that I could invest to average down my cost on some coins I believe will rebound.  

I'm not in as bad a shape as most people, not by a long shot.  But I finally know what it feels like to be in a losing position.  I don't want to be here any longer than I have to be.
