# Hello Hive  Been independent and self sufficient is good, the benefits is that you don't bother anyone and most times you are contented with whatever you have. Not everyone who has been charitable towards us do this out of pure Joy. People give, but some give grudgingly, some render helping hands and services to you but right within their hearts, they nurse hate feelings towards us.  After my mums demise, i was expecting the uncles and aunties in the family to take up the responsibilities of raising us up but my hopes were dashed out. It was a big challenge on my part. My mum had us 7children in number and the youngest child was barely 3years, my two oldest sisters were already married with their kids and their own homes to manage. I was left with 4younger siblings to cater for since dad was barely bringing a dime home. This taught me a huge lesson on how to be sufficient and independent relying on no one for financial support or any kind of assistance.  Since that time I have learnt to do things by myself, work for my own food and money, do all my house chores and repair work without asking for help. I got so used to this lifestyle that even when I meet those who want to assist me genuinely, I end up rejecting their offer of help, since I cannot read their minds and always feel indebted for every little assistance rendered. I can continue thanking you days after you give me just an ordinary ride something that others will feel like its their entitlement from their friends, @jjmusa2004 can relate with this, you give me a ride and I can't stop saying thank you. That is a act of gratitude because I have seen people who are in the capacity to help me but chose not to I deeply appreciate those who go all out for me.   Living an extremely frugal life buying the basic needs, budgets upon budget and working hard to save every income. I did most of my repair works myself, fixing things in the house and stuffs I could have paid for. Machines get fixed, the boiling rings, bulbs and every other thing I could do. My number one wish has always been I that could learn as many skills as possible so i could fix things myself and avoid spending too much. Today I damaged my machine. 😟😟 It was a sad one but taught me a good lesson, I thought I could fix the discomfort it was giving me with sewing, the pedals were stiff and some other difficulties, taking out my tools, I loss every part, oiled it out and worked on it but it got bad instead.  I could no longer use it and had to call the services of an engineer. He charged me more than necessary since the minor damage was worsened $6 was what I cost me.  I have been so hard on myself Will never call anyone for help Things are much better than they were before yet I am so used to my shell and will never voice out for assistance. The lessons I learnt is this; We don't have to live this way There are things we can never do on our own. Seek for help but only from the right people. And if you happen to find some good company of people, you can all form a circle where members can stand in the gap for each other... Thank you for taking time to read through the lines I wish that I could shorten this as much as possible.  Did you seed the royal pearl sleeve I made,I trust that you remember project I was working on.   I used some collar stay to on my cap sleeve and deed the straight pearl arrangements with rice beads to sew an elegant sleeve into my dress. Hope you like it, its a trending sleeve and I hope that the picture teach explains how I have achieved this.  ----  ----
