I have already mentioned many times that music is a major factor in our lives, whether you are a musical artist or not, if you know how to observe well, music is something present in everyone's life in a beneficial way for our interaction with our emotions and thoughts, it helps us to feel good, to share moments in meetings, to inspire us or to remember.

In my particular case, songs help me a lot to remember past events and to feel in the present the emotions that I lived in those events, they also help me to remember people. Reliving wonderful feelings is something priceless, being one of the things that music provides us.

Now, which is the song that moves my feelings the most? I must admit that it is something that is hard for me to decide, the love for songs is a very fluctuating factor in my tastes, there are times when a song can be my favorite and then give way to another melody.

Goodbye is a song by Gustavo Cerati, one of my favorite artists, a great poet and composer, who was a great exponent of rock in Spanish in Latin America.

Goodbye is my current favorite song because of its great style and beautiful lyrics, it has a circle of simple but well used chords. The song talks about a process of separation in a relationship, it describes very well the emotional processes of a stage of farewell between people. The interesting thing about the lyrics of this song is that they can be applied to any type of relationship, whether it is a relationship that ends due to falling out of love, a relationship that ends due to the death of one of the parties or a relationship that ends due to separation because of a trip or moving. Saying goodbye is something that hurts, many times, the person who says goodbye to us unconsciously becomes a little indifferent to what we want from them, if a person needs to leave to look for a better future, they will do it even if it hurts us, and if we really love, we will let them go to find their own way. If a person has to leave this material plane, they will have to do it even if we don't want them to, maybe that's why the song says in one part: "you were waiting for echoes that won't come back, floating among rejections".

Another thing I love about this song is that it always revolves around the idea mentioned in the lyrics that says: "From the same pain will come a new a new dawn", this idea is so wonderful to me, as it refers to the fact that in the darkest moments of our lives, a new sun will always be born that will bring us hope, there is no evil that lasts forever, pain is something momentary and will always give way to new growth.

I love this song because it also makes a call to detachment, sometimes we must know how to say goodbye so that things and people take their corresponding course and we can grow in our individual paths, we should not tie ourselves or others to what we want, we must let go and let free what should take its natural course.

People come and go, it hurts when they leave, but it is the best thing that can happen, it is what should happen, our paths often do not coincide forever, we only meet temporarily to learn and share things and experiences, after that, when the time expires, it is time to say goodbye. As I said, saying goodbye is sad, but from that pain, we learn that everyone must continue on their own, we learn to be grateful for the good things we have experienced and the bad things we have learned.

Another thing why I like this song is because of my late grandmother, I feel it describes very well what was our relationship and what was also the relationship with her daughter, my mother. I must confess that my grandmother was somewhat toxic he,he,he,he, in everyone's eyes she was a very crazy person, of course, she was not a bad person, but she was a bit conflictive. I loved her a lot, despite the problems we had, when I saw her after a while I was happy, but there were many other times that we rejected her a lot. When she suddenly became ill, she was suffering a lot because she was quite an active person, and for beings like that to be paralyzed in a bed is horrible, she didn't last long like that. I think the best thing was that she left her body before she spent more time without being able to move, it hurt a lot to have said goodbye, I still cry for her and I always remember the good things she did in spite of everything, she was always looking to help us, she had the whole family present, from one day to the next, we just had to say goodbye. This song is my favorite also because it reminds me of my grandmother, I know her body is no longer here, but her soul took a different path because she is eternal.
