The importance of breastfeeding on a child can never be over-emphasized. For some mothers, they stop breastfeeding once the baby starts eating solid food, for some, they stop at the baby's first birthday while another mum extends it to one year and 6months, two years, three years, etc. depending on some factors put into consideration on the part of the mother.

The World Health Organization (WHO), recommends breastfeeding a child for two years, however, anything above one year is considered extended breastfeeding. During my antenatal days, I learned that breastfeeding contains antibodies that help in fighting some illnesses and children. It also has a way of improving immunity in a child. When the child's immunity is high, he or she would be able to resist illness to some extent. Having known the vast benefit of breastfeeding on a child, I am in for extended breastfeeding.

My baby is one year old today, yah!!💃💃💃. By this time last year, about 6 Gynaecologists were already dressed up in the theater and about to deliver my baby through surgery. How time flies, just like yesterday ...the memory is still fresh in my mind. Oh my sweet baby, I love and celebrate you today!

Still on extended breastfeeding, Over the past few years when I nursed my two older sons, I remember receiving lots of criticisms from fellow mums on why I should breastfeed a baby of over one year. Some people will not mind their business and I wonder if it's their breast! Some will go the extra mile of saying hurtful words just because I insist on extending breastfeeding for my baby. Imagine someone advising me to stop that to avoid my breast being slack. Well, motherhood comes with lots of sacrifices, and breastfeeding is one of them, it's not easy to breastfeed, you will give up some things just for your baby. And this is my 3rd prince, **baby Jesse** I am planning on extending breastfeeding to God's know when. It might be 3years, oh yes...my baby is a pricky eater and I believe this sacrifice wouldn't hurt me.

So, friends, it's my baby's birthday today and I would love a word of prayer for Baby Jesse. My gum body baby, he is so bonded to me to the extent that we couldn't get any personal picture of him in the Studio🤩. What a wasted time over there ...it's all good maybe as he grows older, he might be able to stand on the camera🤩.

Here is my baby's birthday cake, my family and some of my friends planned a little birthday party for him this evening🤗, in a few hours, the party will begin🤩.

Finally, I strongly support encouraging extended breastfeeding for any mum that can do that.
