*Over the last weekend, I received a call from my former boss and he requested that I visit the office for an assistant. They had lots of jobs on the table and most of them were the kind of job I was doing at ease the time I was still a full-time staff in the company and so, his request for my presence yesterday*.

*If you have been following my blog, you will remember that I have mentioned it here before that I resigned from being an Admin Assistant/secretary in one of the private oil and gas firms in Lagos state Nigeria. I also stated my reason for the resignation and ever since I resigned, it seems I didn't resign in most cases.. lolz! My former boss understood me perfectly and accepted my resignation yet, he will always seek my assistance in the office once in a while. Of course, I wasn't the first Admin Assistant who has worked in the company but then, there is this working relationship that we had. The way I approached my role all through my stay in the office made the Boss like me. It's been a win-win for me just because of the good imprint I left there. Counting the number of favor I have gotten from both the staff there and the boss ever since my official resignation, it's been massive. Indeed, it's good to be good wherever you find yourself because of tomorrow*.

*My yesterday was spent in this office. I had to attend to the request as usual, I contributed a lot to the jobs they had and both the boss and the Engineer were happy. Of course, it's something they can do but they were so busy with other work and they knew I can do all of that with ease. Anyways I was fulfilled and happy that I assisted. Ever since I resigned, I have been visiting on request for a job like this even when the company got someone that replaced me. Most times, I work from home for them and get an allowance for it. I still have works to do for them tomorrow and I will be going back again. In all of these, I get paid for this partial job but my boss kept pleading that I return fully for the job!*


*Hmmm, this really a kind of tough decision for me. I am a bit relieved about what made me resign (family reasons), however, I am checking the whole circumstances surrounding the job. The distance, the stress if I should be going daily, the Lagos traffic, the transportation fare, my last baby yet to begin school, the salary, etc. A lot of things to iron out and I feel that hive will still be better for me. Hive has been a blessing to me especially joining when I became a housewife. The feeling of earning while still doing my motherhood duties has been amazing. I think I still need some good time with my kids while still working online. I love office jobs but for now, I am going to displease
my boss, I can still be helping out once in a while like I have been doing but going back for full-time isn't something I am considering now. Hive indeed to my rescue*✅
