I was reading a post yesterday from @yahuzah and he explained how he used the profit he got from Bitcoin investment to buy a laptop for himself. The post made me remember my bad experience with BTC. One thing I learned from the experience is to always learn how to do so many things by myself. I know that no one knows it all, but there is always a learning phase and one can actually learn anything he or she put his mind to learning. At first, I thought that it was something I can never do in my life until I made up my mind to learn it, surprising I learned how to do transactions in Binance and I am happy. No knowledge is impossible to grab, it's a matter of the mind, so make up your mind today over that new knowledge ✅. Back to my Bitcoin investment experience.

4 years ago, one of my good friends told me about Bitcoin. I was so ignorant of anything crypto-related. The discussion always looks like I am in a strange land. He told me how profitable BTC can be in the future and advised me to buy if I can. He went ahead to share his wallet with me via screenshot and I saw that he got a pretty good value of BTC. The price of BTC at that time was $10k. He told me that it will be a good investment in the future and I believed him, of course, he knew better than me. 

The young guy helped me in purchasing some BTC and after which demanded my address so he can forward it but I did not have one. He told me to create it immediately but I declined 🤦. I told him to hold the Bitcoin for me in his wallet, I trusted him to keep it safe for me until when I wanted to sell. I locked up my mind on learning how to do a simple process of creating a Wallet to save these coins myself, how foolish I was. lol, I had thought it was something so complicated that I cannot do, if only I knew what is ahead of me. The young guy saved my BTC for me, we were still talking as usual until after one year. The price of Bitcoin kept going higher and higher up to $60k. I knew that my money have doubled 4 times. I was so happy each time I checked the BTC price and then I told him to sell it for me so I can make good use of the profit, that was when my nightmare started!


The guy stopped picking up my calls, he stopped responding to my chats, I didn't believe it. A good friend of mine. I regretted not saving the coins myself, if only I could turn the hands of a clock. I did all I could do in my power to retrieve my BTC from him but all proved abortive. Then I told some people who started calling him on the phone with different numbers warning him to return my money, and after some months, he reluctantly paid me back my capital ONLY. The profit I have seen and calculated what I will use the money to do vanished before my very eyes. I was foolish indeed, my ignorance got me that way but I learned my lesson the hard way.

Coming to hive Opened my eyes to cryptocurrency. I have learned a lot here through reading educative content about crypto. I now realize the gravity of my mistake then. I blamed myself for not having an open mind to learn about saving the Bitcoin myself but my big mistake thought me to be wise.

In summary, nothing is impossible to learn, all you need to do is to make up your mind and have access to that knowledge you have interest on!
