Does Bitcoiner's have low financial literacy?, and is Bitcoin just a payment method not an investment option?
First of all, I disagree with the results of the Central Bank of Canada (BoC) survey, which says that bitcoiner's how have low financial literacy, so they are trying to say all crypto investors and owners like Michael Saylor, Elon Musk, Paul Tudor Jones, Bill Miller, Stanley Druckenmiller, Ray Dalio, and Tim Cook just to mention a few are not financial literates, because based of their results those that are financially literate know about or aware of Bitcoin and crypto but are most likely not to invest in it. I don't see anyone who is aware of the blockchain technology, crypto, or other digital asset class and won't invest in it, when they know the benefits and use cases in real life and that has the money to invest, that would ignore the opportunity to get on board and invest in crypto which is the future of finance by the way.

The survey done by the Central Bank of Canada shows that as of 2018 to 2020, 5% of Canadians owned bitcoin and it was mostly dominated by youth and educated men with high household income. BoC thinks the Bitcoin investors and owners only have knowledge about Bitcoin, crypto, and blockchain technology and very little about finance, their report stated that they have been tracking crypto to see if it is going to affect fiat currency and payment system. they even went at far as saying that bitcoin and crypto are supposed to be used only as a payment method and not supposed to be an investment option, I wonder how they would think that way if they actually tracked Bitcoin's progress from 2016 to date.

Let's compare the standard and poor's 500 (S&P 500) and Bitcoin's progress on a long-term based, S&P 500 which is a  stock market index tracking the performance of 500 large companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States. It is one of the most commonly followed [equity indices](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%26P_500). In the last decade based on statistics, the S&P 500 has gone up +220% and bitcoin has gone up +792,132%, in fact, comparing Bitcoin to S&P 500 is being unfair to S&P 500. I don't think any asset can measure up to the performance of Bitcoin over the years. And Bitcoin is still starting and it has no price cap due to its limited supply and unlimited demand. Bitcoin is the best asset in the world, not to sound like a Bitcoin maximalist, it is just my opinion. But Bitcoin requires you to be patient to enjoy those returns, generally, Bitcoin doesn't bring in much returns in a short term run, but will change your life in the long term. But there's a need for crypto education to succeed in the space.
